Hi guys.

I installed Xpenology with Hyper-V on windows 10.

I installed emby on the docker following https://hub.docker.com/r/emby/embyserver/ this site.

I think there were no problems while installing but I can't add a library.

Both movie files and installed location is on the Synology.

I tried to use newtwork address, network servername and the path of the folder like '/volume2/mongla/download/movie'.

I even tried to find on the folder list but I can't find Volume2 folder.

I hope anyone could help me.

Regards,

Seongmin Sim

Hi, try entering without the trailing slash

/volume2/mongla/download

I tried it buy I got a same result. I can access to the folder by putty or network drive.

Why  I can't access or even see the folder with docker? Is it some kind of permission problem?

What else should I check for it?

I installed Emby Media Server for Windows on the windows 10 and Synology is installed with Hyper-V on the same desktop.

With Window version, I can access to the movie folder.

I'm still trying to find the way to use it with Synology.

Good day,

Try to use the same UNC share name as you use it for windows, let say your sybology server name "server1" and the share is "movie", so it will be:

\\server1\movie

Add that path and it will work.

My best

So you're trying to use it with Docker? did you give the Docker container access to that path first? Emby runs in a Docker sandbox, and will only be able to see locations that you first allow the Docker container to access.
