dragon2611 27
Not sure if it's my FireTV (gen 1 FireTV, connected via ethernet) or the TV's upscaler doing it (4k LG Smart TV), but it's actually more noticeable on Emby/FireTV than it was on the chromecast.Every now and again a frame or multiple frames will get dropped and it leads to a jump/stutter it's most noticeable on busy scenes or scenes that involve panning/ camera view point changing. I've tried turning off the VLC support but that doesn't seem to have made difference. Seems to happen on both 720p and 1080p content. Is this likely to be something to do with the FireTV/Emby App or is it likely to be something to do with the processing/scaling on the TV itself? ebr 14925
It is likely the FireTV/player. VLC appears to do a better job with this than the Google player - especially if the content is 24hz. However, the only way to get bistreamed audio on the 1st Gen FTV is to use the Google player.
