wyerd 11
I have a number of MKV files that for some reason that I don't understand are being transcoding when they shouldn't be and others that stream correctly with bitstreaming HD audio. I've attached 2 logs - Not Transcoded and Transcoded. Thanks for any pointers. Not Transcoded.txt Transcoded.txt
Luke 37118
It might be due to subtitles. The old app left out some necessary params that describe what subtitle formats it supports, which could result in transcoding during playback. Since this doesn't prevent use of the app we are not likely to spend time on improving it, but it's resolved in the new app. the old app is also open source in the event there's a community member who might like to look at this. Chest Rockwell 3
I am watching 2010 right now (mkv, VC-1, 5.1 AC3) using the new version of Emby Theater 2.2.7 and Server 3.0.5934.0. Server reports that the movie is being transcoded. Why would that be? I thought the whole point of Theater is that I did not have to transcode. It's just a quirk in the app's reporting, it will direct play.
