Long Library Scan Question

At one point I was doing chapter extraction as part of my library scan.  I have gone and disabled it, but yet my scan for a 1400 movie library can still take 6-8 hours at times.  I'm noticing today after having added a movie, it is running an ffprobe command against the movie:

 

C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\ffmpeg\20151111\ffprobe.exe -show_packets -print_format compact -select_streams v:0 -show_entries packet=flags -show_entries packet=pts_time "\\tower\bluray\movie\movie.mkv"

 

Is it normal for it to run this even with chapter extraction off?  It means right now if I want to manually identify the movie and grab a cover art imagine, it can take 6-10 minutes for it to complete and save the cover art.
