lightbreaker 2
Hi everyone, I've got an Emby server (3.0.5781.0) running with the Emby add-on with Kodi 1.1.39 (Isengard 15.2). For some reason, a few folders of my TV shows are not properly showing up when I run the sync. They show up fine on the web app as well as my Android Phone app, but there are just scores of episodes missing on the Kodi sync. I've uninstalled Kodi compeltely and added Emby from scratch to no avail. The piece of my log where Emby does the sync is below. Not sure what is happening. 11:40:07 T:2105690496 NOTICE: EMBY LibrarySync -> --- Starting Library Sync Thread --- 11:40:07 T:2105690496 NOTICE: EMBY LibrarySync -> DB Version: 1.1.39 11:40:14 T:2097753728 NOTICE: Thread FileCache start, auto delete: false 11:40:45 T:2139280640 NOTICE: Previous line repeats 5 times. 11:40:45 T:2139280640 NOTICE: Thread BackgroundLoader start, auto delete: false 11:41:20 T:2105690496 NOTICE: EMBY LibrarySync -> Sync Database, Incremental Sync Using Client Time -5 min: 2015-11-08T19:36:20Z 11:41:20 T:2105690496 NOTICE: EMBY LibrarySync -> Sync Database, Incremental Sync Setting Last Run Time Saved: 2015-11-08T19:36:20Z 11:41:20 T:2105690496 NOTICE: Sync DB -> syncDatabase Exiting 11:41:20 T:2072954112 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Starting scan .. 11:41:20 T:2072954112 NOTICE: VideoInfoScanner: Finished scan. Angelblue05 4130
To see things in your log, you need to enable the add-on debug (set to info). Your issue is most likely missing key metadata information like the season number in the emby metadata manager. Fix those episodes/seasons and they should be correctly added to Kodi. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I did enable the Emby debugging (at least I thought I did!). I followed the directions in the "how to report a problem" thread. Perhaps I need to re-sync and get a fresh log? As far as the meta-data, are you saying every single episode needs the number and season number and then it will show up? Interesting. I'll try a few episodes and see what happens. Thanks for the response!
Solution Angelblue05 4130 Posted November 9, 2015 Solution Share Posted November 9, 2015 Every episode need a season and episode number in the metadata, that is correct. Otherwise they will be skipped. You should be able to correct it in the metadata and check if it gets picked up in Kodi, a few seconds later. Are there any metadata manager programs out there? I corrected a few manually but I have some large folders that would be rather tedious to go through.
Angelblue05 4130
I'm not sure, I would assume it has to do on how your episodes are named. If your episodes don't follow the naming convention found here: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/TV%20naming you can use filebot to rename your episodes properly let your server auto detect the season and episode number for you. I would ask in the server section of the forum, you will get way better help.
kpate77 10
I was having an issue with episodes not displaying in Kodi that let me to this post. After reading, I did a refresh (add missing data) on the Emby Server and the series appeared in Kodi. Yah! This made me notice that I was missing quite a bit of meta data on media that I rarely use so I hadn't seen before. Been having a problem with media library and metadata for the last couple server upgrades. I thought that I would just do a complete refresh of data by choosing "Refresh All Data" on the Emby Server. I did this on a single series to start with. When I did this, the show disappeared in Kodi. I tried it again on two more shows and got the same result. The series immediately disappeared in Kodi. To Recap: Refresh (add missing data) makes series appear when they were missing. Refresh (All Data) makes show disappear. And no, it doesn't reappear if I Refresh (add missing data) again after full refresh. I've attached the Kodi log, but I'm not sure if it is a Kodi problem or not. I'm so close cutting the cord with wmc - please help! kodi.log
kpate77 10
I'm noticing this with Movies now as well. I added 2 movies this morning. They both show in Emby Web UI - but neither are showing in Kodi. Another log attached. kodi.log
