Nathanio 35
I'm using the latest server and AFTV Emby Tv beta but noticed that I can't select the device in remote control. It's not showing in active devices either? Edited September 26, 2015 by Nathanio
ebr 14959
Is the app running?
Nathanio 35
Yup. Was watching the grand Prix from recorded TV at the time. Connected to the server and was playing live TV, recorded and movies all happily.
ebr 14959
Luke - did something change here as far as broadcasting this ability?
Nathanio 35
Just to add to this that I've also noticed that the resume information isn't showing on the server. For instance I watch a TV episode (mp4 blu-ray rip) on the AFTV, stop and move to another room and start watching via webpage on laptop. It's not remembered that I'd got 7:47 and started from the beginning. I guess that makes sense if the server doesn't see the remote control functions. No, that would be something completely unrelated actually and something I cannot reproduce so we need to investigate what is wrong in your setup. I just did that very process - started something on the Fire and stopped it then brought up the home page in the web client and there was that item - first in my resume list. Are you bringing the web client up fresh or was it already sitting on the page? Are you sure you are logged in to the same user on both devices? ebr 14959
BTW - the problem this topic is actually about should be fixed with the latest dev server.
Nathanio 35
Hi ebr, Just upgraded the server to .6 dev version and checked AFTV version (1.105a). Can see in webpage but no remote control option still.
ebr 14959
Hmmm.... says it was last seen 6 minutes ago. If you interact with the app on the FTV, does it then show up in the cast menu?
Nathanio 35
Hi Ebr, I have looked at this evening again and tried trawling the logs. Currently sat watching a recorded TV program through Emby on the AFTV (and doing a great job). Checked the server status page in an incognito window (to get a full pull from the server) and it doesn't even list the AFTV this time. Searched the logs for AFTB and found this : 2015-10-01 19:45:33.7736 Debug - HttpServer: HTTP GET http://192.168.0.1:8096/mediabrowser/system/info/public?format=json Ip: 192.168.0.176:33943. Nathanio 35
Round two for this evening. As a hunch I tried clearing cache and data on the app on the AFTV. This appears to have fixed it! Sorry didn't try this sooner!
ebr 14959
Okay, so something is getting cached that probably shouldn't be. It is probably inside the common libs though so may take some digging to find. Thanks.
Nathanio 35
Do you need anything from me to help at all ebr? I'm just so pleased with how well it is all working. The WAF is starting to come up high!
ebr 14959
Not at this time. Thanks for continuing to dig on it. I'm just glad you got it going and it is working out well for you.
