worldwide-webb 0
I've been looking into Emby as a possible mediacentre replacement. I live in the UK and currently record OTA TV using Tvheadend with Kodi (openelec) as a frontend. This works well, but some on demand UK TV services eg All4 and Demand5 are not available within or alongside Kodi. This 'complete suite' of OTA TV + on demand appears to be available using the Emby Roku client (Emby, iplayer, ITV player, All4 & Demand5) One must have feature though for our household is the ability to start playing tv recordings before they have finished (timeshift) eg a 2 hour long programme starts at 7pm and we want to start watching it at 8pm. What I also don't want to happen is that the playback stops when you've watched the first hour (because you've got to the point where the recording reached when you started playback) and then have to start it all over again. Kodi + Tvheadend has this capability. I don't have any particular preference for the backend TV server (tvheadend, WMC... are all fine) if they can deliver the functionality So in summary, is the above possible with a Roku client plus Emby & tv server? If it is not possible with the Emby Roku client do any other Emby clients support this timeshift capability? Thanks
Spaceboy 2494
Using dvblink as a back end to get my sky UK sub into emby. No time shift is not supported yet, i asked the same question when I realised last week that it did not work. At present I think you cannot even have more than one concurrent stream
