JeremyFr79 228 Posted June 11, 2015 Share Posted June 11, 2015 I found tonight that Emby for Android is not adhering to the bitrate set in the app. For instance tonight I tested some LiveTV content, the app showed that it was set for 720p 1.5mbps, However the server showed it was transcoding it at 8mbps. I was able to verify this was the case by watching the throughput on my router. Anyone else seeing this ( or even realizing it's happening for that matter) This is a huge issue if you're on 3g/4g connection without unlimited data. I thought server maybe was just reporting incorrectly, but like I said was able to verify on my PFSense box that was in fact the bandwidth it was sending out.
