Roku emby will not play files from Mac server

Using Mac server version 3.0.5607.2 with a roku 3 emby app and the emby beta app. I don't know if this is a mac server bug or a roku app bug but about a month ago an update to the mac server broke my roku playback abilities. It can find the server and display everything fine but just crashes when i try to play anything. After going back and forth with older versions of the mac server I got so frustrated I moved back to Plex. I do not like Plex but at least it works. Tried Emby again yesterday and much to my surprise it still doesn't work. At least the mac server no longer crashes when the roku app crashes. Any idea when this is going to get fixed? I really hate using Plex.

I am having a similar issue but I have the server installed on Debian (7) Wheezy. I am able to watch Videos through chrome or IE but once I try to watch it on the roku or chromecast, the video fails. I pulled the Roku logs, Server log and the transcode log I am unsure how to attach them. i have pasted the Roku log below.I think I am having an issue with transcoding and not the ROKU

I am currently using MONO 4.x. From reading other thread, I might try downgrading my MOno to 3.10 and see if I it works. I have not figured out how to do this yet.

Same here. Server version 3.0.5621.4 running on iMac with OSx 10.8.3 and trying playback with Roku 2 XD. It sees the database but when i hit play it loads for 3 seconds then goes back to movie cover screen. Same behavior on the library web page in server local machine. No playback possible. However, it plays well from an iphone 6 running the MB mobile app. Let me know how can i further help you pinpoint the issue.

Got something more: It seems to be a transcode issue. I am getting this in the server log every time i try to playback
