dark.neo29 1
Same issue I am having. I manually fix it then a few hours later a few shows/episodes just randomly go back to unwatched

SwanStream 59
I'm also noticing partially watched isn't registering as such and just starts over from the beginning rather than whatever % is correct. I believe I mentioned it before in a different thread w/o response. Should I post that as a separate topic?

data : [''] As you can see it is stuck in a loop. The sync has since stopped. The episode is marked unwatched in kodi. NFO says watched and playcount 510. (Before playcount sync it did not have that.) *EDIT* From what I can see in the code. It should just sync to Emby after the watchflag has been changed. But it syncs from Emby as well and something goes wrong... SpheriZe 3
0.0.17 now. I've had this problem the entire time I've used the Emby addon. I've deleted the addons and userdata folders multiple times. I've reinstalled. Nothing so far... Here's something weird. If I change an episode to watched manually through the context menu it sticks. If I've actually watched the episode it doesn't. Kodi shuts off the video and automatically changes it to watched and then it just doesn't stay watched...
chrismb 2
I've also been experiencing this since version .8 I've done a complete reinstall of both kodi and the add on. I did notice at least for me that it looks like if I set a show in emby to watched using the web interface then it is synced to Kodi. If I set an episode in kodi to watched it doesn't get synced to emby. Also noticed that after watching a episode kodi will mark it as watched and almost eminently it will be switched back to unwatched. nothing as far as I can tell gets updated in emby when that happens. riffy 32
OK I guess I have watched issues too. I noticed today that I watched some stuff & marked some stuff watched on one install. Go to the other installs & they still show as unwatched. Updated to .20 & restarted & waited for it to do it's sync... no change, still marked unwatched. riffy 32
I didn't delete the data cuz then it'd be updated. :-p But here's the log with info turned on for Kodi. The same exact install on my Fire TV Stick did update, this install... has not. Even stuff deleted are still showing in it. kodi.log
xnappo 1593
Something very odd with the plot there.
riffy 32
I watched a show on my fire stick install while I did all that... other installs did not update the show as watched after. Went ahead & wiped one... I'll post a log after it builds a data base & I watch a show on another install. The time to build is much MUCH faster now btw. riffy 32
I saw that plot thing too... it's on all the logs. What's that web socket thingy too?
xnappo 1593
There are CRs in that data getting into the command... Turn on EOL chars and look at the plot above, then what it does to the command. Edited April 6, 2015 by xnappo
riffy 32
Fresh build & the log is identical as the one I posted. That was FAST building the data base!
xnappo 1593
Yeah, it is a bug in how we handle strings with EOL characters in them. I am sure @ is on it
riffy 32
Watched a short show... it did update this time. *shrug* The Tardis is still doing weird things. :-o Edit: On both other installs it updated even. The 2 are windows 8.1 & the one I watched the show on is a fire tv stick if that matters. kodi.log Edited April 6, 2015 by riffy
riffy 32
Well... it's back to updating just fine again, I think. Watched a show on a windows install... 2nd windows install updated, fire tv stick says it has a resume point. Haven't seen the update dialog pop up yet on the fire stick. The only thing different that I can think of, I deleted some tv series season that some how downloaded into my movie folder instead of it's rightful place, so I'm going to put that back & see what happens. riffy 32
Shouldn't the fire tv stick install have done a sync by now? It still has the same episode I watched almost an hour ago as a resume point even after watching a couple others. Haven't seen it do a sync since, with the bg display notification on. My tv season folder back in the movies didn't seem to effect anything either. 2 windows 8.1 installs are still syncing correctly.
chrismb 2
ok hope I did this right, I uninstalled kodi and installed a fresh copy of 14.2 and then I downloaded 0.0.20 of the addon. Surprisingly the syncs are now working from kodi to emby however they are now not working from emby to kodi after the inital sync is done. Also not sure if this has been mentioned before or not but I am getting flickering in the ui and it makes it difficult to scroll through tvshow lists ect. it will keep jumping back when it flickers. Hope the log file is correct I'm not sure if it will show when I set a show in emby to watched and it didn't get synced to kodi. Let me know if I need to upload emby logs or anything. kodi.log
chrismb 2
ok thank you I will give this a try and report back. Just wondering could I use path substitution here? (Optional: Path substitution can map server paths to network shares that clients can access for direct playback.)
SpheriZe 3
It works now! I was using local paths. Shared my library folders and used path substitution. No change to Emby's library needed. You're all great, thank you. Been combing through the code for days and all I got was headaches.
chrismb 2
just wanted to report back. I gave path substitution a try and it works without any problems. tested with kodi 14.2 on windows 7 64 bit running version 0.0.22 of the plugin. @ thanks for the info and all your hard work. You have just helped me increase my WAF raiting.
