thefranklin 0
Hey, I am trying to make MB keep the same format we are used to. We have a boat load of kid show dvds that have about 4 episodes on them each. I am trying to make it that they will be able to choose them as if they had selected a dvd, that is how they have them memorized. The examples would be something like: http://www.amazon.com/Mickey-Mouse-Clubhouse-Mickeys-Splash/dp/B001R3YRIA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425674126&sr=8-1&keywords=mickey%27s+big+splash http://www.amazon.com/Sofia-First-Once-Upon-Princess/dp/B00ANVX6DY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1425674169&sr=8-1&keywords=sofia+the+first+dvd These shows are part of a season on IMDB, but I would prefer them to be organized like we have them. I want MB to have the dvd covers selectable, and then once you select the dvd cover, you get the 4 episodes that are inside of it. The first dvd I linked, Mickey's Big Splash, has 3 episodes from season 2 and one episode from season 1. What do you guys do for this? It looks like I need to manually do everything from tvdb, or at least create the "Mickey's Big Splash" folder with its backdrop, then I can label the episodes inside.. Hopefully there is an easier way? Thanks,
Happy2Play 8296
It sounds like you would need to fetch them as movies to get most of what you want. What format are your "kid show dvds" in? https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/265889-mickey-mouse-clubhouse-mickey-s-big-splash https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/144616-sofia-the-first-once-upon-a-princess Edited March 6, 2015 by Happy2Play
thefranklin 0
I have tried movies/tv/unset format. I can get the backdrop from themoviedb, but I cannot get MB to recognize it. Identify Item and "265889-mickey-mouse-clubhouse-mickey-s-big-splash" or "265889" do not work. I cannot get individual episodes recognized, either. The tvdb has them (http://thetvdb.com/?tab=episode&seriesid=79854&seasonid=17358&id=383078&lid=7) but I cannot get them to be recognized inside of another folder. I have tried s02e17 naming and that didn't work. Thanks for your help! I know I am picky,

thefranklin 0
Thanks. Even trying that does not pop up the moviedb entry. I found a halloween one, but not the right one. I tried all sorts of the attached information (even just the number with nothing else)
Happy2Play 8296
How is your media named? Folder structure? Library type? Edit if structure is TV content type your can not use id for movie. It only searches TV section of TMDB instead of movie section. example http://www.themoviedb.org/tv/265889 http://www.themoviedb.org/movie/265889 Edited March 6, 2015 by Happy2Play

Happy2Play 8296
Thanks. Even trying that does not pop up the moviedb entry. I found a halloween one, but not the right one. I tried all sorts of the attached information (even just the number with nothing else) Get rid of year in movie title. That way you should be able to search without the TMDB ID. Also, TMDB ID is just the number in the beginning if you want to use that. The TMDB id will not search the Movie database in this screenshot only the TV database. As my example above. Happy2Play 8296
See the difference in search options when searching for something MBS thinks as a movie as opposed to TV as above.
thefranklin 0
Thanks, all those suggestions combined to work! I tried inputting the episodes as a TV series, then copying it over, but it doesn't display the same. I might have to go with TV for the folder, and do the movie just for the fanart/boxart. Or the seasons->episodes view might do the job, and I was just being difficult for the sake of it Edit: Except that view doesn't exist in the Android app. Edited March 7, 2015 by thefranklin
thefranklin 0
So what I have so far done is create a media folder labeled as "TV". Inside that folder I make folder for each show, inside the show older I make a folder for each DVD disc I have. I put the episodes inside, named s01e07 (this I look up on tvdb.com). Then i download the cover image from themoviedb.org (it has been under the "movies" tab) and call it "poster.jpg" and put it into the dvd folder. I then edit the metadata from mediabrowser for the dvd folder. I add in a description from themoviedb.org or amazon for completeness. Now when I click on TV - > Shows -> (insert kids show), under seasons I see the different dvds we have and the correct cover is included. Once inside, the episodes are labeled correctly. So they look like this: D:\Kids TV\Sofia The First\Sofia The First Ready To Be A Princess D:\Kids TV\Mickey Mouse Clubhouse\Mickey's Big Splash I am just posting this in case others look, or in case I forget what I had done. Thanks for the quick responses!
