Dreamster 0
I took my computer with me on holiday, I have the server installed on the same computer. When i started the computer, Everything looked normal, the server started a bit slow but it started. When i tried launch media browser it told me that it couldnt connect to the server. Even though the server was running. The only difference was that I didnt have a internet Connection. Must I have a internet Connection ?
swhitmore 781
I don't think so. Were you trying to login via MB Connect? Did you try a manual login?
Dreamster 0
I don't think so. Were you trying to login via MB Connect? Did you try a manual login? I dont have any apps or web logins, i just use that computer as both server and player, And all programs are installed on that computer. But at the moment i dont have an internet Connection. Was thinking maybe it was possible to redirect the server somehow. Cause obviosly it wants internet..
Luke 37099
it should work fine. can you supply more info about the problem? please see http://mediabrowser.tv/community/index.php?/forum/53-windows/
ebr 14925
Yeah, I do this all the time on my laptop. Please provide an MBC log when the problem occurs. One guess is that you configured MBC to find your server using its external public IP address instead of using the machine name, localhost or local IP address. If that were the case, it wouldn't be able to find the server unless you were attached to your router.
Koleckai Silvestri 1150
Make sure you're using localhost, 127.0.0.1, or the machine name as the server address when you're not on a network.
