mbc0 63
Hi, I have 9 users on my server and I have setup notifications of playback for video & music. This has been working perfectly for about 6 months + on all 7 Android Devices and 4 Windows Devices I have introduced an IPAD into the list of devices that access my server but my server does not even recognize when the user is logged in, let alone when they are playing anything (tried multiple users on the IPAD client) The IPAD works perfectly and any user can watch everything as expected but there is no trace of its activity? Can anyone help with this please? Many Thanks
Longrifle 33
I had a topic about this already, here is how I fixed it OK i finally figured it out, unfotunately I could not pin-point what setting was causing the problem. the fix: go to your iPad or iPhone settings, General .... at the very bottom ... Reset then Reset all Settings. this fixed the issue on both my iPad and iPhone, resetting does not erase any content but it does reset all settings to factory default, so you will have to rejoin your network etc. now my devices show up on the server like they are supposed to. hope this helps
mbc0 63
Many Thanks for this, I am surprised the problem is with the IPAD as I would have thought the Server would report ALL incoming connections no matter what! but I will try this tonight... Thanks again :-)

mbc0 63
Hi Unfortunately this made no difference, the server does not show any activity at all when accessed from the IPAD???
mbc0 63
Does/has anyone else have/had this issue?
TolkienBard 54
Apparently I am having this issue and didn't even know it. The primary Apple user has been so busy the last few months I just assumed he hasn't had the time to log on and watch anything. Then last week, during happy hour, we were discussing the media server and he brought up all the stuff he had been enjoying on it. That's when I had to stop him and have him back up. My dashboard and the activity log have not shown him logged in from a device in a very long time, and never his primary viewing device (the newest version of iPad). So yes, it would seem that Apple users are not registering on my server. At the very least, this makes it harder for me to know when it is safe to restart the server to allow updates to finalize. Longrifle 33
Hi Unfortunately this made no difference, the server does not show any activity at all when accessed from the IPAD??? sorry it didn't work for you, it worked for me on both my iPad 2 and iPhone 6... because I had restored both devices from the same backup I figured it was a setting that was transferred to both devices. after the re-set they both show up as normal in the MB server.
