spaid 2
My Linux server (Ubuntu 14.04) is saving individual tv episode images in the same folder as the file with a -thumb.jpg on the end, instead of the metadata sub directory like on my Windows install. As far as I can tell all the metadata settings are the same across both installs, but it's entirely possible I'm overlooking something. What do I need to do to fix this? Luke 37099
you're not doing anything wrong. the metadata subfolder is the older mb2 way. this new way is more compatible with other applications, so it's what we're using going forward. existing images saved the old way are fully supported though so you don't need to worry about that. spaid 2
Hmm okay. How come the Windows version is still saving them in the metadata folder? They're both version 3.0.5445.6.
Luke 37099
it will in the event you ever reinstall clean. it's an easier way to make the transition without abruptly changing everyone's behavior.
spaid 2
Makes sense. So if I wanted to make it uniform across my whole library the best way would be to delete the old metadata files and let it recreate them all?
