Diedrich 355
In my TV section of the Metadata Editor; some of my shows are not recognized and a refresh will not pull up any external id's. Shouldn't we have the ability to "identify" such as in the Movies section?

Diedrich 355
Yes. And I see where you are going - even more reason to provide a Identify button to populate the fields.
Maleficarum 68
I don't think it starts pulling info unless there's at least a season folder in there, I may be wrong though.

Beardyname 195
Just to add what i said earlier: I have found that any season folder under the show fixes this, but you usually add the Season 1 before the others so
ebr 14925
The moral of this story is that an empty folder is not a TV series. It is just a folder (and, thus, nothing to identify).
Diedrich 355
Well, I have tried everything in vein. I tried S01, Season 1, Season 01, Season01 and none worked. I tried refreshing the show's into. I tried refreshing the TV parent. I even tried a shortened tvshow.nfo file containing the IMDB and TVDB IDs. None of that worked. Suggestions? @@ebr Could we get the ability in the GUI to simply add the IMDB or TVDB ID in the "External Ids" field to give the indexer a starting point? ebr 14925
You will get that option as soon as the system recognizes it as a TV show. Just add a Season 1 folder and run a library scan. If any metadata files have been created in the folders, delete them as well.
Diedrich 355
That was the trick, I had .nfo files in the main folder that XBMC had loaded. Thank you very much for your patience.
