We tested on Jellyfin and we are not able to reproduce that issue on same file casted using Jellyfin, only Emby is facing the issue. here is the only issue I see: 17:08:07.892 [segment @ 0x271e580] Opening '/config/transcoding-temp/43C11E/43C11E_s4.m3u8.tmp' for writing 17:08:07.893 SegmentComplete=video:1 Index=2609 Start=7827.194375 End=7829.905417 Duration=2.711042 offset_pts=0 start_pts=7827194375 Frames=70 filename=43C11E_s4_2609.vtt 17:08:07.893 [segment @ 0x271e580] Opening '/config/transcoding-temp/43C11E/43C11E_s4_2610.vtt.tmp' for writing 17:08:07.894 [segment @ 0x271e580] Opening '/config/transcoding-temp/43C11E/43C11E_s4.m3u8.tmp' for writing 17:08:07.894 SegmentComplete=video:1 Index=2610 Start=7830.113958 End=7832.991833 Duration=2.877875 offset_pts=0 start_pts=7830113958 Frames=74 filename=43C11E_s4_2610.vtt 17:08:07.894 [segment @ 0x271e580] Opening '/config/transcoding-temp/43C11E/43C11E_s4_2611.vtt.tmp' for writing 17:08:07.906 subtitle_kickoff: resend - pts: 7833617 17:08:07.906 subtitle_kickoff: call subtitle_resend_current 7833627 frame->format: 3 17:08:08.526 [segment @ 0x2335400] Opening '/config/transcoding-temp/43C11E/43C11E.m3u8.tmp' for writing 17:08:08.527 SegmentComplete=video:0 Index=2610 Start=7830.447411 End=7833.450411 Duration=3.003000 offset_pts=0 start_pts=7830447411 Frames=72 filename=43C11E_2610.ts 17:08:08.527 [segment @ 0x2335400] Opening '/config/transcoding-temp/43C11E/43C11E_2611.ts.tmp' for writing 17:08:08.791 Too many packets buffered for output stream 1:1. 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] frame I:139 Avg QP:16.85 size: 56408 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] frame P:3133 Avg QP:19.96 size: 9672 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] frame B:6679 Avg QP:22.71 size: 1483 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] consecutive B-frames: 7.0% 8.3% 6.7% 78.0% 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] mb I I16..4: 29.9% 49.9% 20.2% 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] mb P I16..4: 15.5% 0.0% 0.0% P16..4: 27.2% 0.0% 0.0% 0.0% 0.0% skip:57.2% 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] mb B I16..4: 1.2% 0.0% 0.0% B16..8: 7.9% 0.0% 0.0% direct: 1.6% skip:89.3% L0:39.0% L1:53.9% BI: 7.1% 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] 8x8 transform intra:9.8% inter:62.6% 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] coded y,uvDC,uvAC intra: 23.1% 28.3% 3.1% inter: 2.6% 3.3% 0.0% 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] i16 v,h,dc,p: 43% 25% 14% 18% 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] i8 v,h,dc,ddl,ddr,vr,hd,vl,hu: 18% 17% 19% 9% 8% 7% 7% 7% 9% 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] i4 v,h,dc,ddl,ddr,vr,hd,vl,hu: 19% 19% 10% 12% 8% 7% 8% 7% 10% 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] i8c dc,h,v,p: 58% 19% 19% 4% 17:08:08.827 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] Weighted P-Frames: Y:2.6% UV:1.4% 17:08:08.828 [libx264 @ 0x2336a80] kb/s:926.23 17:08:08.862 Conversion failed! 17:08:08.862 EXIT I've had this error for a few weeks now, I thought it was because of the updated nvidia drivers, but I've tried the previous version and the same error still occurs. difference between the 2 files. 1st file works, 2nd doesn't. Here are the main differences between the two files: **1. File Size and Bit Rate:** - The first file is 33.1 GiB in size with an overall bit rate of 36.4 Mb/s. - The second file is 13.9 GiB in size with an overall bit rate of 15.2 Mb/s. **2. Video Format and Resolution:** - Both files use HEVC (High Efficiency Video Coding) for the video format. - The first file has a resolution of 3840x1608 pixels and a frame rate of 23.976 FPS. - The second file has a resolution of 3840x1600 pixels and the same frame rate of 23.976 FPS. **3. Audio Format:** - The first file uses TrueHD with Dolby Atmos and has a bit rate of 3,263 kb/s, 8 channels, and lossless compression. - The second file uses Enhanced AC-3 with Joint Object Coding (Dolby Digital Plus with Dolby Atmos) and has a bit rate of 768 kb/s, 6 channels, and lossy compression. **4. Subtitles and Text Streams:** - Both files include English subtitles, but the number of subtitle and text streams differs slightly. - The first file contains multiple text and subtitle tracks in different languages, including UTF-8 and PGS formats. - The second file contains English, Spanish, and Latin American text streams, and all are in UTF-8 format. **5. Chapter Points:** - Both files have chapter points, but the time intervals for each chapter are different between the two files. These are the main differences between the two files in terms of size, video and audio format, subtitles, and chapter points. I have the same problem with this movie and with rebel moon part2. It doesn't matter what device you play on, the problem is when you request a transcoding and the server for "x" reason gives an error, thats not happen in 4.7.6.0, tested on same devices 07:56:03.704 Too many packets buffered for output stream 1:1. 07:56:03.858 Conversion failed! 07:56:03.858 EXIT EDIT: Another log with 4.7.6.0 working good ffmpeg-transcode-e582f343-9097-4023-a6cf-71f80457f260_1.txt Edited April 25 by BlackDub Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
SamES 893 Posted April 25 Share Posted April 25 So this is a server transcoding error, not client specific and happening on multiple different clients. Have you tried updating to the latest server version? Both of these are quite old now. It might not solve it, but we might be wasting our time on an issue that's already resolved. 4 hours ago, BlackDub said: Have the same problem with 4.8.0.80. Yes, a server error. I have right now the latest stable but i try with docker other versions to check if the problem exists. I test with a friend in other debian 12 - nvidia, proxmox - nvidia, same movie and the same error appears I post here too the same problem. Luke 37254 Posted April 26 Share Posted April 26 @BlackDubthese are a bit of apples to oranges comparisons as one version's logs provided are from the Emby android app and the other with Chrome. Can you please provide equivalent comparison log files? Thanks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

visproduction 125 Posted April 27 Share Posted April 27 Blackdub latest embyserver.txt 96.02kb .ts and .vtt GET requests get out of order and show an error when times jumping from 1 ms with no missed files to 249ms and skipped files. This appears to cause a domino type effect. server requests again skipped and missing .ts and .vtt files which cause more out of order responses. I would guess that re-requesting the missing .vtt files and the demands of the transcoding can't keep up. Is this direct cable connection or are there Wifi traffic issues occuring as well? See lines 441 onward to show the issue. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
