Remote access working without any port forwarding

I have remote access enabled, but automatic port forwarding disabled (and have not manually forwarded ports). I started streaming music via the Android app, then realized I was on mobile data instead of WiFi. How/why is my server exposed to the internet without any forwarded ports?

HI, there could be any number of reasons for this such as:

• You have a port forwarding rule in place already, but forgot about it
• One was created previously by the port mapper before you disabled it
• Or the local LAN address is still reachable and it's not using a remote connection after all

1. This is not the case

2. I suspect this is it. However, I would expect the rule to be removed when disabling automatic port forwarding? If not, how can I manually remove it?

I think there's a good chance that disabling upnp altogether in your router and then turning it back on will do it. Or just leave upnp off.

If that's the only way, should this option be represented by something other than a checkbox? Once checked, unchecking won't do anything

Hi, we should improve this, yes, but also keep in mind that in the majority of routers the upnp rule is a temporarily lease that will go away if the application doesn't renew it.
