ng4ever 39
I need the english subtitles because the movies are not in English. 1080p video movies. Direct play. Though burning subtitles into video I believe. If need a screenshot will provide. On a Synology DS 220+ and tried upgrading ram from 2 GB to see if it would help but no luck This is all over the local network. ng4ever 39
I think I found the culprit https://old.reddit.com/r/synology/comments/sep1s2/buying_advice_for_upgrading_plex_server/huvo51y/ Yes I know it is plex instead but still involves Media Servers. Plus it is what I am doing burning subtitles into video. Looks like I am SOS unless I upgrade I am on a Synology DS220+ Thought the Intel CPU Quicksync or whatever would help with burning in subtitles but guess not oh well. It more about CPU performance it seems. Edited March 24 by ng4ever
Happy2Play 8340
Do you have the Diagnostic plugin installed? If so have you tried testing with this option unchecked? Quote Those options are intended to help investigating problems and should only be set when requested by Emby staff. None of those are intended to fix a problem for regular Emby operation. Settings made here will not be saved. They won't survive a server restart and might be automatically reset after some time.

No but I just installed it and unchecked that option. Seems like no buffering or lag anymore. What does that do when unchecked ? You also said: Settings made here will not be saved. So how am I suppose to keep it unchecked so burning subtitles into video work without buffering and lag
Happy2Play 8340
It is on the Devs as this just shows your hardware can handle this process done in hardware vs software. But devs may want to see the logs for when you have lag issues but will guess the low powered processor not performing fast enough. Personally have not used the options so don't know it they are per playback or server restart. If per restart then currently you would just have to remember to uncheck the option. Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks!
