Album Artist/Artist "Search for images" does not search and retrieve from Discogs, even though I have Discogs enabled in Music Library settings as final Artist metadata/image downloader, and the correct Discogs ID has been found and added to Artist records. Examples: "Jay Hoggard" is properly identified at MusicBrainz (https://musicbrainz.org/artist/1c140b6e-d166-4576-b6b6-5c28a7c8f4f5) but there is no image there to retrieve. He also is properly identified in Discogs (https://www.discogs.com/artist/299482) but the image that does appear there is NOT downloaded and added. Ditto for "Jerry Lawson" (https://www.discogs.com/artist/775225) - image is there but not retrieved by Emby. Multiple Scan Library Files and Refresh Metadata never retrieve images from Discogs for these artists (and others). Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I would assume we need to see a server log from @wordloverto see if the server is actually making any calls\requests for a specific example. Very simply, there's no image available through the discogs api. happy2play is proposing just eliminating it altogether which in turn would eliminate the troubleshooting of why do i get it for some artists but not others. And each of the examples I gave has correct Discogs ID in the Metadata screen for each Artist. I click the "open window" icon and it properly jumps right to the Discogs page, where at least one Artist image appears. But that image is not retrieved. No I can't get any discogs queries at all but will look at building a new portable later to see if I get different results as both image should be the same on returned images but are not as beta does not show the discogs image for Artist. per images above. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Happy2Play 8319 Posted February 12 Share Posted February 12 @Lukefound my issue as having multiple audio books (music) and music libraries with different setting does not work properly as configs for one affect all. So adjusting all libraries corrected my issue with no Discogs calls.
