LAPS0082 1
Hi everyone, I have set up a kids account with a maximum allowed parental rating DE-6/FSK-6 This works great for movies but only for some TV Shows. In the kids account I see TV shows (which should be hidden) with the following rating: 12+ TV-PG M16 18+ 16+ Some other TV shows are hidden for the kids account. These hidden shows have this rating: TV-14 18 TV-MA 16 12 FSK-12 FSK-16 FSK-18 Series Metadata Downloads 1. TheTVDB 2.TheMovieDb Why are the above ratings not working? How does the matching of the different ratings work? Kind regards LAPS
Luke 37272
Hi, can you please show an example of something that is showing that you think shouldn't be? Thanks.
LAPS0082 1
Hi Luke... I'm pretty sure this should not be FSK-6 Metadata:
GrimReaper 3331
Do you have "Block items with no or unrecognized ratings" option enabled under user Parental control?

GrimReaper 3331
You might enable it and see how does it compare, as these ratings might not be mapped hence considered "unrecognized": 55 minutes ago, LAPS0082 said: 12+ M16 18+ 16+

TV-PG is still showing in kids account. Is there any chance to fix this matching? I'm not sure if I want to leave: "Block items with no or unrecognized ratings" enable as it might cause to hide other shows I want to see in the kids account in the future. Quite the contrary, you're making sure they won't see anything inappropriate as only items with approved/confirmed ratings will be shown - if there's no rating or it isn't in proper format they won't show, which is something I assume we all prefer for our kids. LAPS0082 1
Yes you are right. But it would still be very interesing to understand how the matching of the different ratings works. In my case FSK-6 still shows TV-PG. Not sure if this is appropriate.
Solution GrimReaper 3331 Posted February 7 Solution Share Posted February 7 31 minutes ago, LAPS0082 said: In my case FSK-6 still shows TV-PG. @Luke, maybe "DE-6" and "FSK-6" should have weight of 4 (or even 3?) instead of 5, as that would seem more in-line? Each country rating is internally assigned value/weight.
LAPS0082 1
Thank you @GrimReaperI now understand your trouble of merging the different rating systems. This must be a PITA.. Eventually you could add the other ratings with this weight? ParentalRating("12+", 7), ParentalRating("M16", 8), ParentalRating("18+", 9), ParentalRating("16+", 8), Thank you for your work. Keep it up

jaycedk 401
You could try and fix the ratings via this plugin.
