benmoses 4
I was mucking around in the "Users" menu on the Dashboard in my admin account and I somehow managed to restrict or remove all of the Dashboard functions! I have two other user accounts but they do not have admin/Dashboard privileges. Is there a way to restore/reset the Dashboard functionality to admin user? Thanks! rbjtech 4342
If you are still logged in - see if you can create a new admin user quickly just in-case you get logged out... To note - If you have access to the file system on the host, then there is a way to reset the admin user - so fear not. GrimReaper 3331
It shouldn't be possible to have zero/no users with admin privileges, so either of two scenarios occurred here: either you have another admin user on your server (in which case you can log in as that user and restore admin privileges to affected user) or your Dashboard lost/is not showing Admin options, which has been known to happen under certain scenarios (hdd space running out, transcode-temp folder having excessive number of files...). benmoses 4
This worked! Thanks for the quick responses! One question. When editing this line <IsAdministrator>false</IsAdministrator> Is it understood/assumed that the attributes in this file apply only to the admin user?
