Logos302 86
Does the Fix listed below refer to the fact the MBC seems to ignore the order informations (Sort name) of the collection and display them in alphabetical order. If not then I have a bug to report . Fix Indexing - this was completely re-written and before complete functionality can be restored there will need to be a new server release as well. ebr 14925
No, it has nothing to do with that. That refers to the indexing (incorrectly called 'filters' in some themes) functionality in each view. It was broken by a bug on the server in the last release. As for your issue, I cannot reproduce it. My sort names are obeyed so I will need more specific information.
Logos302 86
ok I change the sort name as follows : 1. TV Shows, 2. Movies, 3. Music, anime, games,Books, Photos, podcasts, trailers, Z. Adult. In the Web Interface They show up as Expected, TV Shows, Movies, Music, Anime, Books, Photos, Podcasts, Trailers, Adult. Games doesn't show up as I haven't configured after the last major update (forgot). in MBC's Interface they show up : anime, Books Favorites, Games, movies, Movie by Genre, Music, Music Albums, Music by genre, photos, podcasts, traiers, tv shows. Looks like Alphabetical order. (Adults didn't show up as I'm logon with a user that doesn't see it.). MBC is using Chocolate theme, but default theme does this as well. https://www.dropbox.com/s/rxlo40z7ad6vh88/MBClassic-2392013cd68b32eb96e4f61a5700c56a1cc359d.log https://www.dropbox.com/s/zibdfcvgcdt77og/Configurator-2492013c5f4f214901046e68983aba3411f8ab8.log Edited October 19, 2013 by Logos302
ebr 14925
Those logs don't look complete but I don't think a log would tell me much of anything in this situation anyway. What happens if you go edit one of the sort names and save it? Can anyone else reproduce? I just modified a collection's sort name and it adjusted in the list accordingly. Logos302 86
It seems to be something with the MB user. as I logon with a different user and the sort order is as it should be. This is happens on more then computer as well.
ebr 14925
Is the other user using their own media library instead of the default one?
Logos302 86
yes, I'll try it with a user that is using the default on. *edit : Tried it with a user that is using the default one and the problem follows. So I guess this is a server issue. For clients as the web view works. Edited October 19, 2013 by Logos302
ebr 14925
Then they have a completely different setup. You will have to go into the web client as that user and edit those sort names for them.
Logos302 86
hmm. That was not the case until recently then. Ok then I'm having a problem with this as under the other users I get no edit button. I only get this as an Admin user.
ebr 14925
hmm. That was not the case until recently then. Ok then I'm having a problem with this as under the other users I get no edit button. I only get this as an Admin user. That's an interesting situation. I guess there is no way to edit information on a non-admin user's collection folders. For now, you can make them admin, go in and make the changes necessary, and then take away the admin rights again.
Logos302 86
that is what I did. . thanks for the help. Should I make this a bug report/feature request then? Edited October 19, 2013 by Logos302
ebr 14925
This would be a feature of the web client. You can create a feature request in that area if you wish but I will warn you it probably won't be very high priority until it gets a lot of people chiming in on it.
