HappyMax 3
Hi! After several years I decided to install the Emby-Server App on my NAS. My former Intel NUC Core i5-4250U is scanning my library without any problems. The NAS is performing this very slow. Three folders within 30 minutes, or so. My music folder is about 2.5 TB, is it normal that it takes days to complete the scan? And if done, can your QNAP-app handle this ammount of data? Thanks a lot Max
Luke 37289
Hi there, please attach the emby server log from when you thought it was slow: How to Report a Problem Thanks.
HappyMax 3
As I removed the app, this isn't possible. Have installed it on a pc again and maybe I'll try it again sometimes. It was a more general kind of question, if the NAS-App is capable to handle this much data.

HI, yes it should be fine on your NAS.

HappyMax 3
I've found the time and everything worked out fine. Thx again! One last question. Is it possible to copy the "collections" from Emby (PC) to Emby (QNAP)?

HI, please take a look at our backup guide and let us know if this helps: Configuration Backup
HappyMax 3
Thx. It doensn't work. I'm sorry. I've installed the Backup Plugin but the message I get is: Emby Backup trial has expired. even though I've installed it today. As I only want to transfer one collection, it is easier to do it manually. What do you think? Where do I find this entry? My config of the old pc is: Programmdaten C:\Users\HappyMax\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata Cache C:\Users\HappyMax\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache Metadaten C:\Users\HappyMax\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\metadata Protokolle C:\Users\HappyMax\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\logs Temporäre Transkodierdateien C:\Users\HappyMax\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\transcoding-temp
Luke 37289
What exactly do you mean by collection?
HappyMax 3
That's what I mean:
Luke 37289
On why not just setup the library again on the new machine?
HappyMax 3
The library is already on the NAS, it hadn't changed. In "Sammlungen" or collections are several discs that are new and I wanna listen to them in the future without searching manually.
