clucky 5
Title. I bought this thing over the weekend: https://www.contemporaryresearch.com/products/qmod-ypb-2-hdtv-modulator-iptv-encoder/ It works fine... but the device outputs in this format: udp://1234 I can view the stream in VLC, but I'm scratching my head trying to figure out how to pipe this into live tv. Anyone deal with encoders and this format?
justinrh 176
I'm not sure if it can be integrated with live TV. Have you tried using the IPTV plugin? Edited August 8, 2023 by justinrh
Solution Luke 37272 Posted August 9, 2023 Solution Share Posted August 9, 2023 Maybe you could create a channel m3u list and use the udp urls as your channel urls?
clucky 5
It's working! My format was a little off initially for the m3u, but it appears to be working great now. Here's my m3u as an example: #EXTM3U #EXTINF:-1 channel-id="TEST",TEST udp://127.0.0.1:1234 #EXT-X-ENDLIST M3U I pipe into channels dvr via their "custom channel". That output from channels dvr goes to emby -- reads m3u. Those apps run on the same machine. I'm running a Contemporary Research encoder QMOD-YPB2 (has composite, component and coaxial SPDIF).The destination unicast address needs to be set to whatever address you're receiving at. Attached are my settings in the web ui for my encoder:
