By what? 52 minutes ago, NathalieM said: Is it possible to disable background There's no setting to disable it, but you can deselect Backdrops on your library image fetchers settings so it won't be scraped for any items going forward. For existing items, ensure that no items named: Quote Backdrop backdrop.ext, backdropX.ext fanart.ext, fanart-X.ext background.ext, background-X.ext art.ext, art-X.ext extrafanart (subfolder)/fanartX.ext exist next to your media or in server metadata folder. You can do a search on OS level and delete existing. Edit: For local Web app only, should be possible with CSS. @Happy2Play Edited April 1, 2023 by GrimReaper Afterthought

Solution Happy2Play 8361 Posted April 1, 2023 Solution Share Posted April 1, 2023 2 minutes ago, NathalieM said: Can you explain how I do this? Copy and paste that code in App Settings-Settings, Custom CSS box. But as mentioned only applies to the web client (not the online client or and other platform client). Happy2Play 8361
Yes for the web client you can do many things with custom css. Web App CSS - Emby Community
arrbee99 1564
And just to be completely contrarian, backdrop fans like yours truly can really emphasise them - - while darkening the bit behind the text so you can still read it.

Depends on if you save with media or not. Search library for fanart/background depending on your image names and delete via the filesystem and scan library to update the database for removed images. If not same steps searching /metadata/library. Or per library/multi-select all libraries Refresh w/replace images / Refresh Search for missing w/replace images But you need to ensure you have set backdrop images via fetcher settings to 0. Setting is per library. Edited April 1, 2023 by Happy2Play
Junglejim 360
What about the display setting or I'm I missing something? Or do you need to disable them in the Library all together? Edited April 2, 2023 by Junglejim
