Wrong orientation of covers

Hi there

So, I recently began digitizing my old cartoons, and I'm also scanning all their covers. When uploading a cover to an item within Emby, the uploaded image it shows up sideways, even though the orientation has been adjusted in Windows. I've attached a screenshot of how the uploaded looks like within Emby, and uploaded the original image for everyone reference as well.

Can anyone help with this, please? I have like 300 covers that I need to add to Emby, and this issue is preventing me from moving on.

I can assume the forum changed the resolution and corrected the issue as the attached image 712x1200 has correct orientation for me in Windows.

You will probably have to zip the original and attach.

So, the image is just too large? I have to edit them to fit a certain size? That's just bad design. Would be cool if Emby could handle the resizing if needed, and provide options for rotating the uploaded image.

Without specifics of the original image, it is impossible to say.  But the dimensions shown in first image appear to show that orientation, landscape not portrait.

0044_front.zipI understand. Here's a zip with the original image.

@Luke will have to comment but the exif data shows it is rotated 90 degrees left.

Dammit, Lightroom!

Why would Emby rely on that data?

Pretty sure exif data has been asked for Photos, but am guessing it applies to all images.  But yes I believe there is a request for a rotate option in Emby also.

I can understand that.

That would be very helpful, and I think that would save a lot of users a lot of time. It would for me.

Is the image editor the only place with the incorrect orientation?

Most photo viewing software will do that. I get that this isn't a photo, but that is the reason why.
