mkobaly 0
Curious to know what people think about crowd sourcing local TV channels so people can watch a sporting event for a team not on their local channels. The way I could see this work is that once you "opt-in" to sharing your local TV channels you have the ability to watch a TV channel from another user. I see this being managed outside of Emby completely Workflow Bob registers his Emby server at https:/xxxx.com and identifies himself from the Dallas TX area Frank registers his Emby server at https://xxxx.com and identifies himself from the Boston MA area Joe registers his Emby server at https://xxxx.com and identifies himself from San Fransisco CA area Joe logs into https://xxxx.com and since he is sharing his Emby server can now see options to watch the Dallas Cowboys came or the New England Patriots game. He can only watch Live TV on the local channels (ABC, NBC, CBS, FOX) Behind the scenes, the only thing the service https://xxxx.com is doing is managing creating the "sports_user" on the emby server with minimal access, listing out all other available games to watch live and making the correct connection to the Emby server to watch the selected game. Obviously this is a bit over simplified but hopefully it explains the idea. I assume this might not be legal. Thoughts on what others think
