tp546 39
I thought I remembered seeing a plugin a while back to view photos in MBC but I can't seem to find it - can anyone help?

tp546 39
do I need to separate my pictures from my videos? right now they are mixed so hoping the answer is no, but i don't see the pictures when i navigate to those folders in MBC
PBzeer 6
I imagine you'll have to separate them, since they are totally different file formats.
ebr 14935
No, you can have videos in with your pictures. What version of everything do you have?
tp546 39
No. Change it to Photos. Even if it also contains videos?

Server is 3.0.5366.22005 MBC is 3.0.213.0 Do I need to do something else to enable them for viewing? They don't show up in the web client either. ebr 14935
If they aren't in the web client then they aren't setup properly. You'll need to provide some more details about exactly how you have them configured.

ebr 14935
The only way you'll see photos is with a Photo folder type because all images are treated as metadata otherwise.
ebr 14935
Yeah, that's not likely to find any photos...
Luke 37118
There is no magic mixed folder type. Just mixed movies and tv

DaN 47
Is there any particular setup for photos folder? I'm facing a problem with server version 3.0.5366.22005 where some old photo collections were scanned and showing properly; while newer collections were scanned but now showing at all; I only get a blank thumbnail, and it doesn't show in other clients such as android and MBC. ebr 14935
You'll need to give us more information like screenshots of how you set it up and a log of a scan. Otherwise we are just stabbing in the dark.
DaN 47
I have disabled and re-enabled this option "lock this item to prevent future changes", clicked on refresh this item, and my new photo folder was scanned, and thumbnails showed the photos. DaN 47
sorry for the quick update, but here's the details: I just noticed that some folders in my photo collection (which is of Photos type) are not showing the photos; thumbnails are blank, and other clients such as MBC and android are not displaying these photos I noticed that; option Lock this item to prevent future changes was enabled; I just disabled it and clicked on Refresh button; then photos displayed properly; I copied the lines before and after that change; my question is how locking the metadata refresh affects the "photo scanner" job? 2014-10-02 01:04:48.8201 Error - App: Error in GameResolver resolving \\WORLDISKSTATION\Disk\Family Photos\2014\Family Day\0335.jpg Object reference not set to an instance of an object.
