Mentalblaze 9
I have a server and Streaming to my TV Android box. Suddenly DTS have stopped working an HD movies are hacking terribly. If I switch to another audio stream, I get sound and the hacking dissapears. The Version is 2.0.70g. I tried with a restart and deleting the cache. That didn’t help. As a comparison is that I have a LG Webos on the TV I use, so if I use Emby on that, I get DTS and everything runs smoothly. But it is easier to use the same box for everything… What can I do to fix this?

Mentalblaze 9
”Solved” it by turning off dts pass through in the app settings.
Luke 37118
Can you try sideloading our standard Android app on the same device and let us know how that compares? https://emby.media/emby-for-android.html Thanks.
Mentalblaze 9
That app was not supported on the device. Should I try an .apk? Not sure if it’s arm or x86, though.

Mentalblaze 9
Hi! OK, I have now tried this. I have Emby Server 4.6.7.0 amd the Emby for Android have 3.2.61.And I selected to play two different movies that I have in two editions. 1. First are UHD HEVC and audio AAC 7.1. Second is 720p h264 with DTS 5.1. First played without any issues, the other hacking and no audio. 2. First are UHD HEVC and audio DTS-HD MA 7.1. Second 720p H264 audio AC3. The first is hacking and no audio, while the second works fine. So DTS is the common thing on the none working. To verify the system, I also tested on emby on my LG (1.0.35) and DTS is passed to my speakers. I had to login through Emby Connect, as I couldn't trigger a keyboard on the tested apk. So it was problems getting the films to start. But if I started on the original Emby app and then switched to the tested one, I could get them to play properly. I removed the public URL from the logs, I doubt you need that. I have also saved the transcode logs created, if you need those as well. embyserver.txt

Mentalblaze 9
I am currently working on upgrading my OpenMediaVault, where the Emby server is located. I’ll upgrade Emby too, when I am done with that. Reason for the upgrade is that Docker have issues fetching new containers…

Mentalblaze 9
I have got most of the upgrade sorted now and I have upgraded to 4.7.6.0. Same issue though, in both the app for android TV as well as the Android APK. A separate hardware question but related to the Emby server: Would I get better performance for transcoding etc if I installed a separate graphic card? I only use the graphics that comes with the motherboard currently. ffmpeg-remux-42bd945d-0c03-42c9-8021-5a46d78d7b41_1.txt embyserver.txt
