Netbug 26
Hi, all. Love the new forums. I'm going to post a question I posed in the previous community just before the migration. The original is located here: http://community.mediabrowser.tv/permalinks/r/15478/66410/recent-not-updating-in-movies-in-neo-theme#66410 I've not been able to resolve it yet. Here's what's happenning: I'm running MB Classic with the Neo theme. I can’t get the “Recent” to update for the “Movies” section. All other sections update fine (“Shows”, “Documentaries”, etc.). I've toggled through the different display options there, but it just won't seem to change. It has not updated since I installed MB3. I would assume there is a file somewhere which is not updating properly?
CBers 6771
Do you have anything in the RAL at all? Are the DATE Added values for your movies showing in the Dashboard correctly? If they are more than 60 days old, they won't display, I believe. Edited October 14, 2013 by CBers
ebr 14912
Does it work in the default theme?
Netbug 26
Sorry, what is "RAL"? Where do I see the Date Added values? I'm not seeing them at all in the dashboard (I don't see where that information is to be displayed). Sorry about the noob questions.
Netbug 26
Does it work in the default theme? Whoa. Ok. I switched to the default theme, and I can now see the date added values... and they're showing as being added in 2015... so that's the trigger... now how would I correct those incorrect values and is there a way I can figure out what caused it to prevent it from happening again? CBers 6771
RAL is the Recently Added List. Where exactly are you looking to not see recent movies? If you edit the movie details in the Dashboard, you can change the Date Added field.
Netbug 26
All the added dates seem to be incorrect and I've got over 700 movies. Any idea what would have triggered this? My system dates are all correct. It's only happening for movies; TV Shows, Documentaries, etc. are showing the correct added dates. Any way to mass-correct them? Or even just set the added date as today? :/ When I hit "Refresh" in the dashborad, it reverts to the incorrect dates. ebr 14912
Do you use an external meta fetcher?
Netbug 26
I used to use MetaBrowser. I stopped using it some time ago, but it may have been in-use when these were added.
Solution ebr 14912 Posted October 14, 2013 Solution Share Posted October 14, 2013 I used to use MetaBrowser. I stopped using it some time ago, but it may have been in-use when these were added. Look in the movie.xml file for the affected items and check the "Added" tag. You could delete all the movie.xml files and then have MB re-fetch it all.
Netbug 26
Ok. I'll have to go into each directory. What a pain. Well at least I know what's causing the display issue. I hope it doesn't repeat. :/
CBers 6771
If you delete all of the XML files and refetch, the date added will be today's date. OK if you're happy with that. The reason new added movies aren't showing, is because their date added value is lower than 2015. If you just change the 2015 movies, they should then show up OK.
