hello all.
im a 5+ years user of OpenMediaVault with Jellyfin installed on the base system ( like we install it on ubuntu or debian ).
my server tower had problems recently and i didnt want to spend that much money building a new server. parts price went skyrocket.
so i bought a synology DS220+ makign sure it do what i want.

it install fine and works. when it comes to add my media folders ( shares ) , problems start.
i click on volume1 then on films , and the page remove the text box where i can write and nothign happens.
not even a simple error.

i tried 2 or 3 version ( the one on package manager , 2 custom downloaded ).
second image is after i click "films". and yes , user embyserver have read/write permission.
spent 3 full days on that and asolutly nothign works. not even following youtube tutorials.
it worked for years on my other setup. weird.

thank you.

Ok, Emby doesn't use the Local user 'embyserver' under DSM7.  It now uses the System internal user 'emby'.  You will need to click the dropdown box to see it.

You can delete any old Local user Emby may have used in the past.

Example of my Movies folder/library under the Shared folder MyEmbyMedia.

If you want to start with a fresh install of Emby then you should be able to uninstall Emby from Package Center and then reinstall the spk you downloaded.

Well you could delete the contents of Emby Data folder.

Data path: /var/packages/EmbyServer/var

or whatever your path is.

You could look at a server log and get your Data path as it can be different.  But the library.db is within that same folder.

library.db

/volume1/@appdata/EmbyServer/data

The path H2P posted is a linked/shortcut.  Not sure you can see those in ssh, I can see it in WinSCP

The link points to this

/volume1/@appdata/EmbyServer

Shouldn't the server log be corrected to reflect that?

Yes, it uses both the application path and the data path throughout.  Pretty much duplicates every line using both
