HawkXP71 108 Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 I have recently moved from DS video to emby. The only issue im having, is for my TV shows as well as some of my movies, they are not showing up in the library even after the media scan has completed. Ive looked at both the regular linux permissions as well as the syno acl permissions, nothing "seems" wrong. I have switch user to the emby user, and I was able to ls and confirm readability of the known missing files. Any ideas on how to track this down?
Carlo 4558 Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Where does Emby Server run in your environment? What version of DSM are you running on your Synology?

Emby server is running as a sideloaded app on the DSM server. it is not loaded using the emby docker. Honestly, If I could do it over, I probably would put it in a dock but and still may. DSM is DSM 6.2.4-25556 Emby version is 4.6.4.0
Carlo 4558 Posted August 5, 2021 Posted August 5, 2021 Have you granted proper privs to the "emby" user on your system for the share holding your TV Shows? Please upload your server log for us to take a look at.

Is there a log, which will tell you what the metadata engine is working on? I see the logs for the image extraction going on, but not one log that simply says "Analyzing metadata in directory X/Y" "Working on metadata for "X/Y/Z.mkv" etc etcv I turned on debug logs, so I do see the individual meta files being worked on. But I cant find any log that is "metadata" in general Edited August 5, 2021 by HawkXP71
Luke 41225 Posted August 6, 2021 Posted August 6, 2021 Right it's just blended in with the main server log.
