Tranquil 93
Since the latest version of mbc, it crashes when I try to open the menu in a tv show to set an episode to viewed. Can anyone confirm that?
Tranquil 93
Sorry I meant the # button on an episode.
ebr 14913
Gonna need all the information in the How to Report a Problem post but the '#' button is not documented to actually do anything in the core right now (although it appears to bring up the config menu in Chocolate in some views). And I cannot reproduce the issue in Chocolate right now. Please provide actual version numbers, an MBC log and an event viewer log. Thanks. P.S. To mark an item watched you want to use either the clear button or the '*' button to produce the context menu.
Tranquil 93
Thanks EBR. You are right with the "*" buttom. It was dark in my living room and therefore I used the wrong # one which causes an instantly crash of my MBC. I'm on the latest beta build and I will provide a log later. Yes, in chocolate you will get the configuration menu on some views and on an episode it crashes. The behavior is still strange when the configuration menu opens without a crash, the config menu has often no focus so that you can not use you remote to navigate to any button. Maybe I remove the # functionality from my remote to be save on hitting it by mistake.
ebr 14913
You will need to find the Windows Event Log error and the MBC log as I cannot reproduce this. The # button is undocumented. I didn't even know it was doing anything.
ebr 14913
Also, I need the exact context of where this is happening. "On an episode" could be in any number of different situations. A screen cap would be best. But first, are you sure it isn't actually occurring on navigation to the config pages and not really have anything to do with the '#' key? Tranquil 93
I need to reproduce it first and then I will send you the logs and also a screen capture. The only thing I can tell you atm is, that when I'm on the overview of episodes, have one episode selected and I press the # on my remote, MBC crashes just in that moment. On other levels (series overview for example) the config menu pops up. This - sometimes - leads to problems with the focus of the actual selected element. As it seems, that this is an undocumented "feature", it's maybe the best to take if off by ignoring the key press.
ebr 14913
No, I need to fix the crash. But I suspect it actually has nothing to do with the '#' key and, instead is simply trying to go to the main config pages. Have you navigated to the config pages since upgrading? Tranquil 93
No, I will give it a try if I'm at home.

ebr 14913
Now i got an update to 3.0.204.0 which solves the problem. That was really fast!!! So that means it was what I thought it was. It was entering the config page as opposed to the '#' button itself. On the special TV view there is no view configuration or sorting that can be done so going to config takes you directly to the main configuration and that is what was having the problem.
