This is really irrelevant as it just means you held the camera the opposite direction. But for the test I would expect the Samsung version 1.7.0 (12/27/2023) to be an issue as it is old and would guess does not have current changes. But for all the reset yes direct play works and transcoding does not work correctly.

All your outgoing requests are failing, for various reasons. I'd give it some time before trying again, in the meantime I'd check why the timeouts are occurring - typical causes of that are firewalls, VPNs, geo-blocking.

And you will still need to post server log, as any errors thrown would be visible within. Without it, it's all just guesswork. How to Report a Problem Edit: FWIW, having no issue downloading subs.
-
Yeah, I migrated my OS account a long time ago. I just realized that Emby isn't downloading subtitles for newly added movies, so I tried to manually download, and I get no results with any Language i use and movie i use.

Click on Song... navigate to Song from Now Playing

2024-05-08 17-19-43.mp4 The 'right click' context menu on now playing is useful thanks i hadn't appreciated it was there... fwiw the reason im interested in getting to the song...is to check what playlists its a member of, adding it to playlists....(and if the feature request comes in in future, removing from playlists). -
GrimReaper started following Subtitle download not working anymore

Specific example would be required, along with server log. If using OpenSubtitles, have you migrated your .org account to .com or made new one at .com?

Subtitle download not working anymore. I tried any language on multiple movies, all subtitle addons are installed. It just stopped working. ''No results found. Have you configured subtitle downloading?''

Roku Channel logs out if Emby server is unreachable

Thanks a bunch! -
If I remember correctly that is tied to this Library-Advanced tab option to use existing or Emby generated. As title tracks previously possibly has better track descriptions for say ATMOS and others that Emby now reads.

Subtitle Sites - Supported and Requests
izzy198888 replied to abescalamis's topic in Feature Requests
That's it. I'm canceling my Premium subscription. I don't use any premium feature anyway. After all this time you cannot add ''titlovi.com'' as a subtitle addon. You are lame. Ffs, it even has better English subtitles than OpenSubtitles. OpenSubtitles sucks. -
Oddly over DLNA the quality is worse and has a soap opera effect (faster FPS). It also shows a different status bar on the TV when you pause etc. I did have it show up for remote to TV like it used to and not over DLNA but that has since stopped working. Guess just something I have to live with now.

Okay, thanks. We'll take a look at the behavior in this scenario.

I would like to add a scheduled shutdown feature.
GrimReaper replied to wugeng668's topic in Android TV / Fire TV

Asking to myself: I had to set guest permissions to "read only" instead of deny, but why? Can't i just set emby app user to read/write? I also notice that this applies only to new shows (after i migrated from QNAP to Terramaster).

Hi, I’d like to propose a suggestion. I often watch Emby TV lying down before I go to sleep, and sometimes I fall asleep while watching, causing Emby TV to keep playing. Could you add a new feature: a single countdown exit function, such as adding a temporary 30-minute auto-shutdown option (the specific number of minutes can be customized according to each person’s situation)? If 30 minutes pass, a pop-up prompt would appear, and if I want to keep watching, I can continue. If there is no button response, Emby would automatically exit after 10 seconds. This way, Emby won’t play all night long.

How can I put links in the home page again after version 4.8.1? @Happy2Play thanks again for the help

Roku Channel logs out if Emby server is unreachable
SmplyUnprdctble replied to SmplyUnprdctble's topic in Roku
Same bhavior. Steps I just did: Opened Emby Roku Channel to verify everything was up and running. Exited Emby Roku Channel Logged into Linux server where Emby Server is running Shut down Emby Server Launched Emby Roku Channel Watched the "Welcome to Emby" screen spin for a few seconds Saw the "Select Server" screen Hit "Back" to return to the Roku Home Screen Restarted Emby Server Re-launched Emby Roku Channel Again, receive the "Select Server" Grabbed phone to get me logged back in Things I realized were neglected in my initial post: Emby Server Version: 4.8.5.0 (and I just saw 4.8.6.0 is available... I'll be installing it shortly, but doubt that's related). Running on Debian Bookworm. Roku Emby Channel version: 4.1.17 Roku OS version: 12.5.5 Build 4174-48 Device is RokuTV from TCL -
Tried today's version of the Windows App (1.1.556.0) + server version 4.8.6.0, and the Windows App still hangs with that video/series, even when subs are disabled. No issues with other videos, so... I'll just leave it as a "I have to get a better version of that series" (the video was encoded a long time ago, and subs are kind of messed up even when playing it on VLC). Thanks anyway! PS: great to see the speed button there!

It has an Intel CPU with QuickSync right? If so, hardware.

Checkoutside started following Photos not showing correct size
-
I have brought this up before, but it is apparently time to revisit as it is still not corrected. Photos on the Android app (on a tv) are not being displayed correctly. I am including screen shots so you can see the difference. I updated the server this morning and the apps are installed by the system, I am no longer installing any beta apps! Server version 4.8.6.0 Android for TV version 2.1.10g Android version 3.3.86 There will be 4 pics, first screenshot of settings page for TV app 2.1.10g, then the photo, next is screenshot of Android app 3.3.86, and last is same photo. You will see (by paying attention to the lower left corner of the photo where the signature is) that the Android for TV app displays the photo correctly, while the Android app cuts off the bottom (and maybe more). Hope this info will help you guys fix this issue.
