A small update to the previous release has gone out. The following issues are resolved:

  • Interlaced video detection
  • Transcoding of *.ass subtitles
  • Recordings not saving with unique name

Enjoy :)

Not sure what changed but the latest update through Github didn't trigger Windows Smartscreen. Not a complaint by any means. Just an observation. The fewer buttons that need to be clicked to update the Windows Service, the better.

Interesting. This is stable, not dev. We haven't moved stable over to github yet, although the installer is there, the auto-updates and the website are still using the old system. Maybe in another week or so we'll switch it over. Beta and Dev are fully github now.

My Windows emby server v3.0.5785.0 does not show the availability of the update.

I'm not 100% it's related to the new server build, but troubleshooting leads me to believe it is related: I've lost .srt subtitle playback while using Emby WMC (up to date). It was working fine prior to the beta server update and doesn't play at all afterwords. I have 3 computers running WMC as well so it's unlikely a setting that changed on all 3.

Is something missing from emby.media/download?  See below for what I see when I click Windows.  Looks like you can only download the beta and not the stable?

UPDATE: Fixed after iPad force refresh.

For some reason, regular TV Show playback (NOT LIVE) plays as a live broadcast on iOS 9.3 Beta 1. I therefore cannot scrub through the media aka. change playback position.

Is this supposed to happen?

When .ass subtitles are transcoded they become .srt subtitles which breaks styling. Example; http://i.imgur.com/86wCJVH.png

The none-English part of the subtitles is styled and as .srt does not support styling(as far as I know) this results to things as can be seen in the screenshot, or text with a lot of numbers(from the styling would be my guess)

@Luke Can you elaborate on what Interlaced video detection does exactly?  Will this prevent the interlacing I occasionally see on LiveTV?

The NextPVR plugin was working for me on windows 10 yesterday.

The server update today killed it today.

Mt tuner is no longer visible on Live TV/Devices and I can't access the plugin's "settings",

I reinstalled the plugin to no avail.

Yesterday I was able to get schedules direct working and I attached logos to my channels on Emby.

Live TV was even working on my android tablet.

Now I'm back to square one with Live TV

would it be possible to start adding the release number to the install file? both beta and stable?  I have a bunch of 'setup.exe' files but without installing I dont' know which version each is. If a version comes out that changes something that we don't like it is difficult to revert. having the version # in the name would facilitate this.

just wondering.
