Team,

Today are hosting provider experienced major downtime for a period of at least 12 hours. This caused the Emby website, community, and Emby Connect to be completely unavailable. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We are looking into ways to keep this from happening in the future.

Ah, I knew something was up. At first I thought it was an issue with my internet connection!

Not trying to be difficult, but  this has happened twice in last one week. Unfortunately in my case both of those days i upgraded and downgraded my system (windows 7 to 10 and then back to 8.1 on my HTPC) and was in need for an installer which was unavailable for download.

I am just a regular user without any technical knowledge of understanding the importance of your policy of not giving out installers as download (ie. I download a setup file which then downloads a server installer from your website) but in my case, if I had an installer that I downloaded from before (which would typically will stay in my downloads folder forever), I could have used my time off the work to get my system up an ready during the holidays without wasting too much of the time to wait for the Emby website to be available.

Or if you have a trick to let the use save the installer file (knowing that it wont be the latest release/beta/dev), please share with us.

I'm in the process of replacing the server I use for Emby. I was starting to think I wasn't going to be able to download it while I have time to work on it... Glad to see it's back up though. :)

Might want to consider moving out of linode atlanta sometime soon. As of yesterday with the move to Level3 for ddos mitigation they are using BGP communities to block all traffic from countries outside of the US and Western Europe to help fend off the constant attacks against them which will block out quite a few legitimate users of emby.
