crusher11 863
It'd be nice to have a Netflix-style login, where users can switch password-free as long as the 'master' user is signed in with their password. My current setup is that I have my server administration account, with a password, hidden from login screens. I also have a general user account, with no admin privileges and no password, which I use for general viewing. Other household members have their own no-password accounts. This works fine, locally. None of the no-password accounts have remote connection privileges, because I'm not that stupid, so if I ever want to access anything remotely I have to go into the server admin account. Nobody else is able to have remote access. If I create a passworded account for my brother he has to share that with his fiancee instead of them each being able to switch between their own accounts.
Dibbes 432
Can you not use PIN codes and set it up so that the users don't have to use that when logging in from local network, but did have to enter when trying to log in from the outside world?
crusher11 863
PIN access is local-only, isn't it? So the exact opposite of that.
Dibbes 432
Then setup a password and leave the PIN blank... I'm not around my setup this week, but I'm fairly sure what you're asking here is already possible...
crusher11 863
That requires a password to be entered. What I want is for multiple users to be able to switch password-free, but only while a user above them has signed in with their password. Like Netflix. If you've signed into your Netflix account any users on that account can switch without having to enter any login details, but if you're logged out you need a password to get back in. Put in a password, select the option "Enable in-network signin with easy pin code", leave the pin field blank. This will prompt for password only when not on your internal network, and allow users to bounce in and out of accounts w/o a prompt.

Yes, this is what I meant, but I couldn't verify this on my setup...
