Is there no way to add a custom "heart.png" replacement? Im thinking the null prefix is breaking the input for custom icons? That or "heart.png" isnt quite what I need to name it for a favorite counter.

I'm using the plugin and I love it. But it turns out it's only recognized part of my library. I have anime and TV shows in separate categories, and it's identified the anime as TV shows but isn't recognizing the TV shows. Is there any way to force it to recognize them

Hi @visproduction, thanks for your help. Although I didn't understand anything you said. I'm in Spain. Beyond the operating system updates (Manjaro KDE Linux), I haven't done anything to my server. It's still using the same programs as always. I've always had a contract with the DIGI provider, which runs on CGNAT, and I never had any problems until version 2.3.4. From version 2.3.8 onwards, it's been nothing but errors. The only thing that's changed is the router, which they replaced a few months ago. After this response I'm done with this thread, but all I have to say on these replies is as follows: Yeah Emby could send a malicious update, any software dev can, hence why it's not a great idea to just blindly trust or try every single GitHub project that looks even remotely interesting without doing some level of verification or testing in a controlled environment. As for Plex, it's obvious that they sell user data, everyone knows this. Emby and Jellyfin's entire existence depends on the fact that they don't do the same shady things as Plex. This circles back to security around using third party plugins/clients with either Emby or Jellyfin. Installing or using anything that's not officially published by the first-party developer opens you up to the possibility that the third party developer has malicious intentions. And honestly I'm kind of laughing out loud right now about the notion that Jellyfin is making exorbitant amounts of money from selling user data. If that were the case then they would actually have money to pay developers and have a decent client app ecosystem rather than relying on third parties to make the next vibe-coded android app that is just soooo much better than the 50 others that came before it.

Wake up shake your head jellyfin makes more money than emby does selling cheap monthly subscriptions for $5 shake your head. Jellyfin sells your watch history and makes loads of cash just sayen.

The "Startup behavior" has 3 options: Remember last user Sign in as <your username> Show login screen This is not a user sign in issue, it's a server selection screen issue at startup. It shows this screen for a second and than transitions the "Select Server" screen. While on the "Select Server" screen you can either: Select the server which takes you to the Home page or Click on the Home icon (upper left) which will take you to the Home page of the last server you connected to. So it's just a frontend then. The UI looks okay, but it is not a media server itself, so my point still stands that it's not directly comparable in that regard. Also just going to point out that it's still listed as in the Alpha/Beta stages of development. These days I'm personally a lot more skeptical of new software, expecially anything I'm integrating into or allowing access to existing software I already trust, or other accounts for that matter. Too many instances of bad actors & poor coding/security posture. Huntarr was a perfect example of why it's good to be skeptical. Everyone else seemed to think it was cool until it was discovered to be leaking API keys.

Clackdor im not going to jump ship er nothin since emby added the large poster size for me to browse through all my movies and shows i will never stop supporting emby. I have my firestick setup as all xtra large posters i love it but would be cool having some eye candy it is 2026 not 1985 lol. I like that i can browse media and it plays live in the top right corner the movie trailers now that is fucking awesome i dont care what anyone says thats just cool.

Yeah it is LOL i had my entire emby database connected to it used it as home server So yes, it is SELF hosted if you want it to be.

Doesn't even look remotely comparable IMO. It's not even a media server from the looks of it. After looking at their site and Github page I can barely even discern what it's actual function/purpose is. The only thing that is clear is that it's not a self-hosted media server.

Asked my wife what she likes better after I spent hours setting up nuvio and wife said she likes emby better lol. She dont care about the eye candy but i do i love it.

Nuvio app looks like emby but it looks better imo only thing is it has no live tv guide and stuff but damn i tried it and it looks good just sayen. You may want to pick up the pace if you want to keep up just sayen.
