trying to work out the problem with remote connection to the server. internally, i can connect and view my media on any device. externally, i cannot connect, message = unable to reach .... (its the same picture i have found on every thread ive read with this issue) i thought maybe it was the VPN, i removed said vpn to test the theory, i can rule that out as i get same issue, i have tried with several devices, so i can again rule out one device, i cant rule out the pc that i have emby setup on, though i have plex and have no issue remotely with that. short of throwing my toys out the pram and uninstalling, does anyone have any idea? ive searched the web, but no answers.

I am glad you like it! I would love to have it work inside of the emby app, but unfortunately the emby app itself isn't open source, so I what I am able to do with the app is very limited. I am hoping the developers here will see the value in my plugin and maybe work with me to make it work in the app one day. But keep testing it and let me know what I can fix or add to make the experience better. And thanks again!

@LukeWhile I am sure the Emby team is busy, it would be great to see this issue addressed. The last message I had from the Terramaster was that they had identified some "transcoding and video streaming compatibility issues" and were working closely with Emby to troubleshoot them. This causes me to wonder if the unresolved transcoding issues I had reported to Emby previously might also be addressed. Any update on progress would be appreciated.

Hi, I was using Jellyfin and it has some issues. No offense to the Jellyfin devs. I am sure they're doing an awesome job considering Jellyfins popularity. However, Jellyfins addon/extension culture is REALLY messed up and disorganized and you can't find any REAL and CLEAR troubleshooting information on some of the plugins I wanted to use that were just messing up everything. New user for Emby. In my example above, do you think this will work? I just spent 3 days copying media fails over so I would rather NOT re-format the drive to ext (but I will if that means no issues will playback for all users in my home). I dod this because I also have a windows 2016 server file server and media server that runs if/when the Linux media server one gets borked and I have to fix it. I don't want to get down on the Jellyfin devs though, that is not my point here, I am 100% sure that my Jellyfin issues are due to my own ignorance and so Jellyfin is not for me. I started over with Jellyfin 5 times before saying <insert bad word here and add "it"> and purchasing Emby instead. SO, I'm done with Jellfin and am now here where I now have a professionally purchased media server that is NOT <insert bad word here> PLEX! My main goal with THIS thread is to get the proper permissions et on the NTFS media share so everyone in the house can use Emby clients to access the server OR to find out it cannot be done and reformat the media share drive to ext4 and start over again in order to accomplish that? Is this supposed to work on the latest build of Emby 4.9.5.0? I saw someone else say they had the same issue but it got fixed with ver.1.0.2.3. I don't seem to have any scrollbars to fill in all the fields and save.

ok way cool... I am trying for years to get this to work over through emby. My hats off to you for starting something like this.. Bravo.... I got my to work just fine the int he web. but do you know what would be way killer. I just bought a Nivdia shield TV pro with game controller. Got emby instilled on it. NOW what will be cool if I could load a game through the shield to play game freely on the TV. If you would like to take this offline with me I would be willing to support on this ideal.

Same issue, cost me about 1 hour trying to fix my browsers and network and etc., finally realized it's an emby issue.

It works through notifications. Not as flexible as the Trakt thing but pretty reliable.

Feed back moonfin does not support the spotlight feature or I can not see away to enable the one I use, I have it displaying a different list each day of the week, the example below is bond films I also have a custom row of streaming media providers, that once clicked takes my to all media from the provider, this does not show in moonfin as well In moonfin if you take my james bond spotlight as an example above, moonfin shows your version miles two large (your version of spotlight). it covers the full window and as a user you would not realise to scroll down to other media, can this be make smaller? Then when you do scroll down, the images are all two small/compressed so are more difficult to read and are out of focus. Live TV currently does not work at all and never loads and shows a blank screen, but on my backend it is playing, this works fine in emby standard clients. On my setup I have a trailer play before movies, but in moonfin I am unable to skip these if I want, as no controls show, this is missing from the player window(emby default) We do get controls on the movie as below As per the above, I do not see any option to select sub titles for the media that is playing, same content in Emby As you can see it give me an option for Sub titles that I can not see in the above playback in moonfin. That's it for now, but Its looking quite good so far

Hi Luke, I normally do not remux. I just use makemkv to rip at full quality. I have done it on rare titles that has more than one disc that I want to merge, but otherwise I never use it. I can also re-rip it if you think this will help? Do you believe that a remux will tell you something about what is wrong or why do you want me to try this?

Just out of curiosity, how is this tied into Emby? I might need to check it out!

Hi everyone, Every time I run Emby Theater the 'Select Server' screen appears. Normally it just goes straight to the home page (as it's been doing for years). This started happening yesterday. Noticed it on one client, then on another. Thought it might be the server version so I updated the server to 4.9.5.0. No change. Thoughts? Thanks

Was there also a transcode/ffmpeg log created during that time you can provide the devs? BTW you will always get a better experience if you preselect a compatible audio and subtitle format if there is one before clicking play. Compatible codecs and formats are listed in the charts at the back of your user's manual. The Tizen player has always had problems transcoding some formats, especially with high bitrate files. Another issue is files with 30 or more internal tracks which causes buffering. You can turn off transcoding in user's profile playback settings on the server as a test, but if the codec is not listed in your manual as being compatible then you will either get no sound or an error from the Tizen player.

Can you also send an AndroidTV app log containing the error to the devs and provide the information requested in the link below Don't know what version of the app you were on before, but here's the list of changes.
