Wow. That is unexpected actually. Only thing I can think of is possibly the display mode of the device. Looks like a PAL video but, with the standard app, the TV is in 60Hz. It being an interlaced signal, this could be what's behind the degradation. Do you have the match frame rate/resolution options set the same way in both apps?

I've been using the smart playlist plugin for a long time. I logged in to the server management area and noticed my playlists weren't populating. Historically, this required a few reloads. That didn't work. So I came here and noticed @GrimReapersuggested the updated plugin. I downloaded the dll, overwrote the old dll, and restarted the server. Now all of my previously built playlists are gone. I have the old dll, and my old program data and system folders backed up. Can I restore things? WOULD LOVE SOME HELP!

I do not understand why you need both guides - it is an either ... or ... They should be identical With regards to investigating recordings, for each case I would need to know the channel number and channel name on the guide/tuner. I can guess but i do not want to do that. And if you are getting multiple recording files where the guide does not show them as separate entries, then i would need server debug logs covering the time from start of first recording for the day to the end of one that is duplicate Concentrate on one of these and i will investigate

It can work but i would still in general advice people to avoid it. Many people don't have the hardware to use it properly and quickly regret converting their collection to AV1. None of those clients you mention support 7.1+ surround and/or TrueHD passthrough (other than the htpc but i guess dolby vision will be a problem with that), if you want that you need some like a Nvidia Shield that doesn't play well with AV1. Instead i usually advice people to use H265, it's not much bigger than AV1 and is much wider supported. That plus setting some automatic remuxing of videos to remove unused audio and other stuff from videos. If you want to save space that's also a huge one!
