Apple TV app showing wrong quality option and changing it does nothing.
katbyte replied to katbyte's topic in Apple TV
well it was like that for the entire movie and i presume this was me trying a dozen or two times to change the quality/do playback correction before i realized that it was playing in 1080p and the playback quality was simply wrong. so likely any one of these would be fine as it was always incorrect. -

Here's a nuance and challenge I found with this.... If you have "Events" or "Sports" they are categorized as movies. They are rated G, or sometimes not ratings at all and they get intermingled with movies. In my skin, I have separate, UFC, WWF & Comedy main menus, but all those releases still end up in my main Movies section of Kodi. You may experience some bleed over if you have a setup like this. UFC fights ending up in KIDSMOVIES if you will. 1% issues, manageable but annoying.

Could be, I thought it may have been rolled into the current update that just got released: ### 4.10.0.15 - Fix empty results on some screens when filtering by genres and studios together

You were more than awesome to even try, bro Thanks again!

What a Herculean effort. Amaze, Amaze, Amaze! Should have been easier than this, but yeah .nfo files is the way to go. Glad you got it resolved. I tried my best.

@ginjaninja Hi, Can you help test a new Ear Wax artist lookup solution? Please pick an artist that is definitely in your library, but Ear Wax currently cannot find. Do not use an artist that already works. I suggest you skip T A T U because we fixed that one. Then test in this order: Ask Ear Wax to play that difficult artist. If Ear Wax says it cannot find the artist, stop retrying that artist for now. Ask Ear Wax to play another artist that you know already works. Let at least 3 tracks play from the working artist. After the 3rd track has started, ask Ear Wax again to play the original difficult artist. Please send me: The difficult artist name What Ear Wax said the first time The working artist you used Whether 3 tracks played What happened when you tried the difficult artist again The approximate test time Thank you

You are absolutely correct - and that makes no sense whatsoever, why would there be a time-limit on grab time if you are deliberately pressing exactly there, on that exact position with the clear intention to drag (and not inadvertently) - and have a visual clue you've actually grabbed it, slight enlargement, as in "you've got it"? But at that time it's already too late, it needs to be grabbed and moved practically instantly, within 0.3-0.5 secs else zip. Literal exercise in dexterity. Thank you, it never even crossed my mind to move it before being told visually that I have grabbed it - quite the opposite, if anything that grab-time should be extended if not already infinite.

Well, well, well.... I have a server (fully paid for independent) in a far far land in ether. Behind NGINX reverse proxy and this "Guest" user with the exact same IP has shown up. Not here locally though in Imagination-land. Wonder if there is some glitch in the Matrix that has enabled this bad actor to do these scans. I shall ponder further.

GetShowsByIdEpisodes returns incomplete MediaSources for non-admin users since 4.9.x
PiliPili replied to PiliPili's topic in General/Windows
Hi Luke, Adding AlternateMediaSources to the Fields parameter worked perfectly! It successfully returned all the available versions for non-admin users. Thank you for pointing out this field as a workaround. I also completely understand your point regarding the database performance overhead when querying this much detail in bulk, and the recommendation to defer deep version/chapter retrieval to the individual PlaybackInfo request just prior to playback. That makes total sense from an optimization standpoint. Thanks again for the quick and clear response, really appreciate it! -
Thank you for your helpful video. Looks like you're long pressing for too long, I did notice that the "time to grab" is a bit short.

I see the same on 3.5.36. And to cut through the unnecessary back-and-forth: SVID_20260619_183247_1.mp4

Lifetime Emby Premiere Abo, yet App keeps nagging
WonkoTheSane replied to WonkoTheSane's topic in LG Smart TV
Alright, everything works as expected with an unblocked Internet connection. What's the reasoning here? -
The video will simply show the playlist scrolling, so I'm not sure what you think that will achieve.
-
It's possible @Lukemeans it will be fixed in .16.
-
Works fine for me, so a video would be helpful.

I am on the latest beta (.15) and I am still seeing empty genre entries. Do we need to do a full metadata refresh?
-
What I'm seeing is my playlist. I press the grab handles. I drag. The list scrolls, as it would do if I was pressing and dragging somewhere on the screen other than the grab handles. Basically, the grab handles don't seem to do anything.

@softworkzis around. He will take a look at it. Thanks.
-
Well it would help us visualize what you are seeing and what is happening.

GetShowsByIdEpisodes returns incomplete MediaSources for non-admin users since 4.9.x
Luke replied to PiliPili's topic in General/Windows
HI, try also adding the field AlternateMediaSources to the url. This is recommended anyway. The only reason it is there is because some insist that they want it, and they're going to do it anyway despite our recommendation. But pulling down this information in bulk is not going to be optimal because many database queries will be one at a time for each item. It is best to wait and do /playbackinfo prior to playback of each episode. No it does not. The typical usage of a bulk endpoint is to display items in a list. When you're displaying in a list, you're not typically going to be displaying this level of detail. The same idea applies to requesting things like Chapters and People. It is there in case you're going to insist that you need it, but some things are going to happen one at a time and it's not going to be optimal. -

Of what? Nothing happening?

It doesn't appear that @softworkzis around...

Looks to work fine, only issue I have with it so far is that if I add my guide xml to the plugin nothing populates, but if I add it via the emby normal setup it works fine. I will give the new version ago, as it looks to fix the issue i was going to report
