Option: Sign out all devices after password reset
ebr replied to Khalixi's topic in Feature Requests
Okay, so how are you doing that for one of your users? You know their Emby Connect credentials? Those credentials are intended to be managed by the end user, not the server admin. They should be able to change their password without consequence. If you wish to invalidate their connection to your server, simply change the password on the local user account on your server. That should invalidate all access tokens. -

Actually, before even providing that info, please go into the settings in our app on the remote Roku and turn on "Debug Options". Then exit and re-start the app, wait about 2 minutes doing nothing and then go up to the user menu and select "Send Logs..." Finally, come back here and tell me what time you did that. Thanks.
-
No. That is undoubtedly the culprit. With the new upcoming server the home screen is much more complicated than "a menu". You have the ability to create some very complex queries for individual rows and a lot of rows. How many libraries do you have and can you show me exactly what home screen rows are defined?

Hi. We are still maintaining this for now and have no plans to release source code for it. Thanks.

The upload bandwidth on the server is 300Mb/s. And there is no sluggishness on the Android Emby app, IOS Emby App, or the web, in the testing I've done. It's not, as far as I can tell, a server side response time issue. The remote Rokus in question are all on what might be considered slow connections on today's standards -- cellular and DSL. But not so slow that there should be issue simply loading a menu. This is only an issue when remote Rokus connect -- the local Rokus never have any issue -- so this next question seems unlikely to help lead to the cause... But, in my case, there is mildly restrictive firewall that has some limits on what anything on the server side of the firewall can access on the internet. Is there anything the server may be trying to reach out to when a Roku connects, that it doesn't try to reach out to when any of the other Emby apps connect?

Hi. Exactly what password are you changing? For Emby Connect, the password would be on the Connect/Forum account and you may not (probably don't) even know that. -

Sorry, not sure why I missed this all those months ago! I had given up on TVHeadend as I had issues with an old USB tuner which I only recently replaced. My issue with having Emby do the recording is that Emby is running in an Unraid docker and the Unraid server is not 24/7. It sleeps overnight and then is on and off during the day depending on usage. So was looking to get Emby to create the DVR schedule in TVHeadend. Still would be a nice to have but I don't think that is currently possible.

We had power outage and now emby updated and now the horrendous view is here can it be please restored it back. Or at least tell us how can it be done to get rid of this useless view.

Okay, so I believe we've solved the crashing and a new release of the app will go out tonight. However, the real problem here is that, at least one of, your home screen row queries is timing out and the timeout is 60 seconds so this is a VERY slow query. We should try and determine exactly which one it is. What is the upload bandwidth on your server?

Quick and dirty post: the update to 4.9.1.90 made my server externally unavailable
Maximus Naxsus replied to Maximus Naxsus's topic in General/Windows
..7 months later.. I still have the checkpoint but the issue is resolved; I've succesfully updated to version 4.9.5.0. Background: A managed switch did not survive the heat wave which made me rebuild my network (with a 10Gbit managed switch (L)) and it became clear I've learned a lot more about network enginering with PfSense compared to about 8 years ago. It is unclear to me what was the exact issue but the combination of issues or improvements I made compared to the previous setup made me try the update process again. The update process is manual btw I'm running Emby as a Windows service. I very much appreciate that all you folks are [still] here! Cheers -
Have you also configured your server to accept connections from remote client apps? Connecting from Client Apps

Plugin: EmbyCredits, detect end credits and add auto skip.
yocker replied to yocker's topic in Plugins
New version up (v2.6.9.0) in the catalog. Added: 1) Some protection against end credits being added before intros. Fixed: 1) Made some changes to QSV hardware acceleration that *SHOULD* make it work on some systems. 2) Some small bug fixes not noticeable to users. -
@Lukeany news on the new easier methods to log on ?

Thanks for finding this thread for me. Aspect Ratio works for Media Station X. Perhaps it's a different way the app works. I don't understand it. Please delete this topic I created.

Introducing Traxx, an Android music app built for Emby music libraries
Hauzz replied to Hauzz's topic in Third Party Apps
Thanks! Yes, separate music/audio libraries are on my list. The idea is that Traxx should respect the Emby library structure instead of simply mixing everything together, especially for users who keep music, audiobooks, classical music, or other audio collections in separate libraries. About users without passwords: at the moment I don’t plan to support passwordless users as a default use case. Traxx is meant to be used as a mobile music app, including remote access to an Emby server. In that context, requiring a password seems like the safer and more sensible approach. I understand passwordless users can be convenient on a trusted local network, but that is not the main scenario I’m building for right now. -
And presumably not producing dmp files anymore - The PML file you gave me does not show Emby Client app starting on that computer or even attempted to be started. The PML had a gap between 07:44:00 and 07:44:19 and the EmbyClient.txt file you provided shows it was running between 07:44:08 and 07:44:16 Also the Event Viewer Applicationn log had last event at 07:37:59 So it does not add up. If all provided diagnostics were from the same machine, one possibility is that Procmon had a filter and excluded the launch of the Emby Client app and that the Emby Client app did not crash. There is an option in Procmon in the Filter menu to reset the filter. Alternatively when you click filter you can just delete everything in the filter display and we will get all events And please this time include screenshot of what happens when you launch the Emby Client and give the time of that - and since it is different now, have a look also at the "%LocalAppData%\CrashDumps" folder So if it is not crashing anymore, what is the problem now when using 2.310.2 version? And lets concentrate on only ONE of your 3 windows machines having the issue. Unless there was a filter in procmon, the evidence suggests that the procmon capture was from the wrong PC

Hola, el mismo problema lo tengo en 3 equipos, pero lo ultimo que te envie es de la misma maquina. Ahora me acabo de dar cuenta que no aparecen los errores anteriores en el visor de eventos (desconozco el motivo). Saludos

hcastanedar_smr started following Message to all users
-
If you need to notify users fast and directly in the Emby app, in-app messaging or webhooks tied to push notifications work best in my experience. I’ve set up webhooks to hit Emby’s API so users see alerts right as they browse or before playback, but it takes a bit of scripting and plugin setup. One time, I also tried routing urgent maintenance notices through bulk SMS for those who wanted phone alerts, and it definitely boosted how quickly people saw and reacted to downtime updates. If you want something that follows the right legal steps for reaching users by phone, you might want to look into [redacted]. They’re useful for sending a personal update straight to voicemail without ringing, and there are services that automate it for you if you ever add SMS or calls to your communications.
