howllor started following One track on an album getting incorrect metadata
-
I've got a problem where one track on a 6 track album won't get the correct metadata. The embedded tags are all identical to the rest of the tracks that do get identified correctly. I've done the thing of removing the folder from the filesystem, refreshing the library, putting the folder back, and refreshing the library again, to flush out any old metadata, but with no success. Here is a direct link to the release on MusicBrainz https://musicbrainz.org/release/6a85c9e9-0ef5-4a13-a42e-0c42457b3120 Here are screenshots of the embedded tags of two tracks. The Jack Beats remix gets identified correctly, the James Yuill remix doesn't. When they get imported into Emby, the James Yuill remix doesn't get put onto the same album as the rest, it's treated as a separate album: When looking at the metadata that Emby has pulled, it looks like this. The first screenshot is the James Yuill remix, the second is from one of the tracks identifying correctly. As you can tell, the MusicBrainz IDs are somehow doubled. Even after manually editing the metadata in Emby to match the James Yuill remix to the others, it still isn't put in the album with the other tracks. Removing identification and redoing identification does nothing to fix it either. Here is a server log of me removing the folder from the library, rescanning, adding it back in, and rescanning again. Please advise. embyserver(1).txt

@LukeThank you, appreciate the quick fix and update on this.
-
@Lukei@Luke tought subrip is also embeed. It's on the video. With downloaded it's OK. There's a way to force it?
-
How’s it coming along? Also, will there be any specific advantages to waiting for the native app (whenever it drops) instead of going the docking route? Or do you foresee any potential disadvantages?

Hi Luke, Here's the log. From what I can see it errors out at the scrobble/pause moment I think. embyserver-63919535682.txt -

@Natelanxon Is this a cloud VM? Did you perhaps enable and use the original Windows administrator account where you don't need/have any elevation requirements and you don't get any UAC (user account control) prompts? Can you run other Windows Store apps without problems? Is your machine member of a Windows domain? Do you have any group-policies configured which might prevent the launch? => run gpresult.exe /v And please look for logs like @Neminemsuggested. Thanks

Was that checking the "Application" log in "Windows Logs" for Source: "Application Error" relating to the Emby app ? A suggested the logs may have some clues

Yes that was what I meant. Thank you

Everything is working fine so upgraded to premiere but when i installed the app on windows it asked me for the synology sign in which was different from the user so need to reset the synology access passwordnd it used the easy password. HW acceleration (decode + encode) with RK3568?
softworkz replied to danergo's topic in Feature Requests
Thanks for an honest answer. If it were a private passion project of mine, I would surely like to explore and try out everything to see what's possible, but for this, it's different priorities: The highest value is to have some who can guide and show me which ways are the safe side and guaranteed (by their own experience) to be working. I think we'll probably set up a small beta group with a few who are interested, so that we can pursue this outside of the mainstream noise about the big HWA paths. Expect progress to be a bit slower and step after step, but eventually it will be great (because we won't stop before it is). Thanks again -
Emby doesn't exit video when Android box screensaver is on
Nabukodonosor replied to Nabukodonosor's topic in Android
Well it's a different behavior on the regular app and the TV app. I like it how it behaves on the TV app Maybe you could make it a feature, and people could decide which option they like, to exit the video or not when the screensaver turns on. -
Same with a LG TV model 32LQ63006LA.

If you want to maximise stability, I will recommend second variant with multiple SD cards. -
HW acceleration (decode + encode) with RK3568?
softworkz replied to danergo's topic in Feature Requests
Okay, unstable is not the type of paths I'd like to be walking on. How about the other options: Having a single (never-change) bootloader on SD for booting multiple OS installation on NVMe Having multiple SD cards each one booting an OS on a different partition on NVMe Which of them are you sure to be working? -

HW acceleration (decode + encode) with RK3568?
niksol replied to danergo's topic in Feature Requests
About UEFI: it's a test suit from users, so it can be unstable. I haven't tested this so I can't say anything about it. About Android: I know there is official android images from orange pi website, but I don't tested it. If you will be using Ubuntu — I recommend Joshua Riek images. -
HW acceleration (decode + encode) with RK3568?
softworkz replied to danergo's topic in Feature Requests
Thanks, that's nice, because it matches the result of my own research which I had done two weeks ago: What I wasn't aware of, though is that you can use UEFI for booting, which is great news. Probably not for booting Android - did you ever run Android, is this even still a thing? -
HW acceleration (decode + encode) with RK3568?

1. Orange Pi 5 Plus SoC: Rockchip RK3588. Storage Interface: Onboard M.2 M-Key slot (PCIe 3.0 x4, 2280 form factor). Multi-Boot Implementation: Equipped with a 16MB/32MB SPI NOR Flash. Supports UEFI (EDK2) deployment (need configuration) to enable a native boot menu directly from the NVMe drive. Alternatively, the MicroSD slot is positioned on the board's edge, allowing external media swapping via compatible enclosures without chassis disassembly. Enclosure Ergonomics: Compatible with standard metal cases that expose the MicroSD slot and all primary I/O ports. One-time assembly requirement is met by pre-installing the NVMe SSD and sealing the chassis. 2. Radxa Rock 5B SoC: Rockchip RK3588. Storage Interface: Bottom-mounted M.2 M-Key slot (PCIe 3.0 x4, 2280 form factor). Multi-Boot Implementation: Features a detachable eMMC module slot and an external-facing MicroSD slot. Multi-booting is achievable via customized U-Boot/GRUB configurations or UEFI images targeting the SPI Flash/SD card as the primary boot stage, while mounting core OS root filesystems from distinct NVMe partitions. Enclosure Ergonomics: Requires a dedicated aluminum heatsink-case. The NVMe drive is secured internally during the initial layout. System switching via MicroSD card swaps does not require opening the housing, as the card slot remains perimeter-accessible. I have first variant in use for almost 2 years, so I can help providing more information about this sbc. My config: Ubuntu 22.04 linux 5.10, NVMe 1TB with main OS, external HDDs for Data. -
HW acceleration (decode + encode) with RK3568?
softworkz replied to danergo's topic in Feature Requests
Thanks for the offer, through, the FFmpeg command building we do is pretty complex and working on this requires probably more iterations than we will have beta versions over the next few years... Acquisition of a device not a problem in itself, it's rather about which one. The requirements are: The device must use: RK3588 or RK3588S The device must have an internal M.2 M-key NVMe slot. Multi-Boot The device must be able to either boot multiple OS installations from NVMe (probably doesn't work) or boot with a boot loader with a menu on regular/flash storage while the core OS is installed on NVMe or boot from a non-fixed drive while the core OS is installed on NVMe and switch OS by changing the drive's medium In this case, the "drive'" must be externally accessible without opening the case The device must be useable in all possible ways without needing to disassemble and re-assemble it more than once - ever More generally: Everything that requires more time than it should/could, is a showstopper -
ducky893 started following Movie stuck at 0:00 in Emby for Android (Shield TV Pro)

When I try to play the following movie using Emby for Android (version 3.5.36 on an Nvidia Shield TV Pro), the movie doesn't start. It tries to start, but nothing happens on the client; it gets stuck at 0 seconds (fast-forwarding doesn't work either). On the server, you can also see that the client is stuck at 0 seconds (the server counts 0:00, 0:03, 0:07, 0:00 in an endless loop). Attached are the media details. In the Emby for Android TV app, the movie plays immediately and without any issues....
