Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
-
Yes. If “Sort Channel Videos By” is set to “Date”, the plugin will sort the saved channels by newest videos first. After changing the setting and saving, the plugin will refresh/re-sort things automatically in the background. It can take a while depending on how many channels and items you have. The plugin also waits until it is safe to write changes, so it does not block Emby or collide with another channel/library refresh. So if you have many items, please give it some time after saving. You can also manually refresh from the Emby server dashboard by running the “Refresh Internet Channels” scheduled task. For Squeezie / LegendMedia, please make sure you added the real YouTube handle or channel ID, for example `@handle` or `UC...`, not only a plain search name. Plain names are treated like search terms and can return incomplete or strange results. I just tested LegendMedia on my side, and it correctly filled 50 items here, so if it only shows 6 for you it is probably a refresh/cache/settings issue rather than the channel being empty.

No worries, ask as much as you need. The plugin does not download videos like files. It loads video entries from the YouTube Data API and shows them in Emby. If you want the newest videos from a channel, use these settings: - Sort Channel Videos By: Date - Max Videos per Channel or Playlist: 100, or up to 150 Then save the settings and refresh the YouTube / Internet Channels in Emby. The “100” setting means: show up to 100 videos. It is not guaranteed that exactly 100 will appear, because the plugin still removes videos that YouTube reports as private, deleted, unavailable, not embeddable, Shorts/Live depending on the folder, or not returned by the API. The 10,000 value is not a video limit. It is the daily YouTube API quota limit. It resets every day at midnight Pacific Time. It does not mean the plugin loads 10,000 more videos every day, and it does not accumulate more and more videos automatically. For normal channel uploads sorted by Date, loading 100 videos usually costs only a few quota units. Search-based entries are much more expensive, because YouTube search costs 100 quota units per request. If a channel shows older videos but not the newest one, the most likely causes are: - the channel sort is not set to Date, - Emby has not refreshed the channel yet, - the plugin is still showing cached YouTube API results, - the new video is a Short or Live item and appears in another folder, - YouTube API does not return that video yet, - the video is private, region-restricted, age-restricted, deleted, or not embeddable. If you give me one exact channel example where the newest video is missing, I can test it on my own Emby server and check if it behaves the same there.

Looks like a naming convention issue to me so that they show as Additional Parts instead of multiple versions. https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html#split-video-files-file-stacking

Pixelsmash Vulnerability in ffmpeg (CVE-2026-8461) - Is Emby vulnerable?
CHBMB posted a topic in General/Windows
With the public announcement of pixelsmash (see CVE report here) Could we get some clarity regarding where we stand with Emby and this vulnerability please? It appears Jellyfin have already fixed it and were notified about t he vulnerability before it was made public, and Plex isn't vulnerable due to their customisation of ffmpeg. I couldn't find any information regarding where Emby sits with regard to this and would appreciate some clarity. Thanks-

Well, we'll wait for the next version.

I still occasionally check for audiobook-support updates. These problems all still exist, making audiobook playback cumbersome and annoying.

I use Infuse exclusively. Flawless player. I miss the UI elements present in Emby but I have to use Infuse because I use Homepods and Emby doesn't handle the audio well (if you pause playback the audio continues playing for a few seconds and then unpausing the audio doesn't start for a few seconds). However Infuse handles all that perfectly. I would prefer to move back to Emby because for me, it does everything else just fine. What are the issues that you are running into with the Emby app? Perhaps they could be resolved?

Ok so just noticed the one that I have that gives me a progress wheel is EAC3 5.1, the one that doesn't is AC3 5.1 so maybe that's it. Looks like EAC3 might need decoding so maybe it's the auto track causing the slight delay

The manual may help.... https://emby.media/support/articles/Movie-Naming.html

If you mean selecting the original audio language and not YouTube’s translated/dubbed audio track, then unfortunately this is not something the plugin can currently control. Emby always selects the audio stream/language by itself. For some videos this seems to result in the wrong language being chosen, so this looks like an Emby-side behavior/bug rather than something I can override directly from the plugin.

AlyEssa replied to AlyEssa's topic in Apple iOS / macOS
Hey Luke - any update on this request? Anything else I can try? -
Unhappy no change here is crash report in the app below. Also the app used is the zip (build 2.2.39 (35)) downloaded from github repo (linked from emby website instead of app store that is versions behind). ------------------------------------- Translated Report (Full Report Below) ------------------------------------- Process: Emby [54649] Path: /Applications/Emby.app/Contents/MacOS/Emby Identifier: com.emby.mobile Version: 2.2.39 (35) Code Type: ARM-64 (Native) Role: Foreground Parent Process: launchd [1] Coalition: com.emby.mobile [439176] User ID: 501 Date/Time: 2026-06-23 18:45:11.7498 +0200 Launch Time: 2026-06-23 18:44:39.0750 +0200 Hardware Model: MacBookPro18,2 OS Version: macOS 26.4 (25E246) Release Type: User Crash Reporter Key: BE2186AF-84DA-208C-1510-C73C01210373 Incident Identifier: 2C123780-04C3-4857-BF31-A4A694C9B57F Time Awake Since Boot: 3800000 seconds System Integrity Protection: enabled Triggered by Thread: 32 com.apple.audio.IOThread.client Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV) Exception Subtype: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000000 Exception Codes: 0x0000000000000001, 0x0000000000000000 Termination Reason: Namespace SIGNAL, Code 11, Segmentation fault: 11 Terminating Process: exc handler [54649] VM Region Info: 0 is not in any region. one question, do u know if it's possible to choose the language for mrbeast for example ?
-
The developers would need a log to diagnose any problems. Makes it much easier for them to help.
-
Man, i love you !
-
Nice, glad it's working now! And yep, no ads — that's one of the perks of the plugin. Emby streams the videos directly without serving YouTube's ad breaks, so you get clean, uninterrupted playback.

my bad i just put the wrong id (was not youtube api blabla), just one question, i try somes videos, no ads ?

Gemini is good when it is things that require looking at a large consensus. Where you need input from lots of sources combined to tell something. So AI can tell you is A better than B. It can look at sentiment. It is good at that. But when it comes to rationalize whether the information it sees its hyperbolic, sarcasm, just plain wrong, etc. It cannot. People also put up inaccurate information, lies, other things. The AI is at best a regurgitation machine. When it can replicate the nuances of being human to a point. But after awhile it comes across as cookie-cutter, cardboard, always flattering and sycophant behavior. The AI isn't going to give honest unbiased opinion. It is just an AI afterall, and it reminds you of this if you step too close to "the men behind the curtain" so to speak. If you try to break out of its training model to expose the language used to create its behaviors. So it is a good conversationalist. It can keep you entertained and give out copies of other information with slight modifications from melding many things together into one. Would I trust it for catering media codecs to any certain device? No. Just because it isn't real. It can only learn from reading text from forums and web pages. It doesn't have a device like you and are testing many different media things against it. But we are. I am. We have entire libraries filled with samples collected. From users, from random places on websites where people give the sample they have issues with, etc. If you encode the media yourself stick to following a guide. Don't just wily-nily try to do things or it turns out like P2P torrents. That is why when you source files from others you can never know what you are getting. Unless it is a consistent source. The same release group every single time. But even then, notice they have repacks and propers? That is because even they can fudge it up encoding. https://forum.doom9.org/forumdisplay.php?f=17 Look at this website and see which have active posts recently. Those would be the codecs people are using today. This forum is a good resource for what to do and what not to do.

vincen started following Media in multi files show as Duplicate
-
Hi Medias that are composed of multiple files show up as duplicate in Emby list. Here is a movie that is composed of 4 files: If I go back in movies list and select the Duplicate folder, Belphégor is listed but it should not. It looks like it lists a media as duplicate as soon as there is more than one file linked with a media page. In similar idea, it would be nice that when you have multiple versions of a same movie on purpose like Despecialised version etc to have a flag in the media page to indicate it's not a duplicate. Thanks
