For music, track numbers come from embedded metadata within the file. We don't actually try to parse the numbers out of the file name.

I've forgotten CoverArt could do that. Worried about the black lines under and above the poster though. Does CoverArt have that problem for you for TV shows as well when running alone? Just so i can be sure it's not a scaling problem i need to fix in EmbyIcons.

thanks for the link - and yes, a fair amount of my file names do start with track number, so in those folders, if I sort by the name, they do play in correct order....although that setting doesn't hold when I move to the next folder. I suppose sort order resetting to alphabetical each time is another part of my issue potentially.

@GrimReaperI discovered another problem i need to fix some how when testing wth CoverArt installed. See if you can spot it. Hint: The screenshot is not taken with a camera. Or maybe not.. Looks like CoverArt it self adds those black lines and rotation (a feature i forgot it had). Well.. That makes things easier for me.

Clipping feature, easily create clips of your favorite shows to share

This is kind of a big feature request but I think it would be really useful, even if it only worked on desktop web browser I would love the ability to easily create clips from my own content WHILE i'm watching it So like here I am midway through an episode, I would want to hit the "Clip" button above, and it would change the timeline into something similar to the iOS Video cropping screen simple scrubber that lets you choose a Start and End point, and preferably shows the Video preview thumbnails to make the experience easier The clip would then be sent to the browser for download without transcoding while also storing the clip in a dedicated library/location Clips could then go to their own dedicated library for download, or immediately download to the browser.

They are for the aggregation cache. Every time Emby lists items it asks EmbyIcons for each poster's cache key so it can see if the saved posters are up to date. In the end though they are a from back when EmbyIcons had a memory leak i needed fixed, i decided to keep them as well as they keep EmbyIcons memory usage as low as possible. Tbh. i should remove them, i just never really decided on what to set them too before doing so and then ended up forgetting about them. I recommend just leaving them alone.

As of right now everything is working properly, might have to get Trakt to fix my watch list, but atleast I can actually watch my media, it was weird I even tried to watch something from the browse library from clicking on the Emby Server icon, and it wouldn't play

As soon as the task is run, it starts throwing CoverArt Skia errors (143 instances in this run), guess they don't play quite nice: Though the task apparently succeeded with no failed items: Once CoverArt uninstalled, no errors, but why is cache cleared on server restart, basically throwing all the previous good work out? That resulted in another long pre-draw run (though shorter than the original initial one): Subsequent run took usual ~8min:

You can always click on version in the Dashboard and inspect changelog for whatever server version you require from the dropdown:

Update, So today at dialysis I opened up the app on my tablet, I could see everything on the server, but when I went to play anything the screen went black like it was trying to load, but nothing played then it took me back to the library. I was however able to get the plugin catalog to work on the tablet, so I was able to install Trakt but not able to set it up when I got home. When I got home I tried to watch something over the wired network on my Google TV, and again nothing worked. I ended up deleting all folders from my library, running the installer again, setting up my library and now it works, so no idea what the issue was.

Just tried this, seems to be working OK. Even the initial task run didn't take too long, 1hr15mins for 150,000+ images library. Subsequent task runs are quite fast, ~7-8mins pre-draw. Some settings I'm unsure of, would appreciate if you could throw some light on what those actually do (does it rebuild all episode images? what is that "aggregation"?...) for setting them accordingly. Thanks.

I don't know, I paid for 1 month premiere 50 connect extended, 12 hours later it says it wants to charge again.. just sent email to support. This issue was brought up almost a year ago. Still hasn't been fixed. If I'm 2 weeks in on a month and decide I need it it's still full price for 2 weeks even though I didn't get the service for two other weeks.. if I decide I need it 29 days and 12 hours later, it still charged me for a whole month.. so I paid for a whole month for 12 hours that ain't right.. the premier spot in the forms don't have any spot to post anything, just gives me an email.. So where do people post about premier problems if the premiere doesn't have any spot to put it?

I always crop my videos to remove the "black bars" (wasted space). all videos are preprocessed with FileFlows to remove this from the videos themselves, so i can adjust hte zoom setting to crop and it works 100% of the time. The problem is, I have to do this on every single video. It would be great if a profile could have a default zoom setting that just automatically picked what you wanted every time you started a video.

Hi Luke, thanks for reaching out. I am only trying through the app, it's worked fine for years. Post the ISP change, the error is the standard "Unable to Reach synology - We're unable to connect to the selected server right now. Please ensure it is running and try again". The server is running.

About 3 months ago I transitioned from a fibre to the node to direct fibre nbn connection; Superloop is my ISP (Australia). DS Video continued working as normal, however I am still having trouble connecting remotely to emby. I have worked through the trouble shooting page for several weeks, ensuring that my local access is fine (which it is), and my ISP recently changed cgNAT so that I am now using a static IP (we also ensured there was no ISP blocking of emby). I have also ensured port forwarding is sorted on my router, and windows firewall settings are to the required emby settings. In the end I thought emby connect might assist but am still unable to listen to my music when away from my home Wi-Fi. Is there any other quirks I need to address, or is there something further I need to work through with my ISP?
