Would definitely like some movement on this idea. A simple toggle on the Home Screen or Display settings in Emby Settings to Show/Hide library titles on the Home Screen shouldn't be too hard to implement I wouldn't have though.

It seems VLC it doesn't work properly somehow. And VLC is not the only one. The one who is doing right it's vimu player. Wat is going on?) P.S. Can i stop emby to stop asking me if i want to start watching every new episode?:)

I split my UHD movies from HD (different folders) Before this release, the home screen 'Latest Media' section would treat multi-version movies as a single entity, but as of 4.10.0.40, the multiple versions are split. They require their own poster, and they also have their own metadata.. ie the UHD version 'date added' field is different to the HD version. So for example, if I have two movies /mnt/movies/UHD/movie1.mkv /mnt/movies/HD/movie1.mkv The home screen now sees them as two separate movies. If I add a UHD version to a movie that already had a HD version, the latest movies section on the home shows the UHD as 'new'. Previously it respected the original HD version's date added metadata I am just wondering if this is by design, as it has broken a lot It 'feels' like when using the multiple versions, the previous version of Emby used the originaly added versions metadata, where this version now uses individual metadata

LG G5 dropped DTS again, and Emby didn't work...?
TurkeyMan replied to TurkeyMan's topic in LG Smart TV
The latest release broke DV P5 in MP4, which is the standard way P5 is distributed (for compatibility). Surprisingly, P5 in MKV is still working, but P5 in MP4 causes stream transcode to be enabled even through video and audio are both direct-play, and then HLS causes P5 colours to be all broken. So, this release has wiped out another huge portion of my media library ... very problematic, there's almost nothing left that works. -
hows the beta test going

Beacause that version hasnt been released to beta yet..

MP4 DV P5 videos have stopped working since the last release?
TurkeyMan posted a topic in LG Smart TV
I eagerly installed the recent update hoping it would fix the playback issues that have been discussed at length, but I noticed no improvement to any of those issues. What I have noticed since that update though, is that now much of my P5 content has also stopped working! Normally, DV P5 in MP4 with EAC3+Atmos Audio was the gold standard for compatible modern streaming distributions, my old CX required P5 content to be MP4, and most P5 distributions are encoded in P4 for compatibility. My 'new' (over a year old now) G5 relaxed that requirement, and it can now play P5 in MKV or MP4. But with this update, when I play a P5 file something weird happen; stats-for-nerds shows direct-play of both the video and the audio, but the container shows it's being transcoded for reasons I don't understand, and then the colours are all wrong because DV doesn't get decoded. Any reason why the container transcoding suddenly started kicking in on unremarkable material that used to be working just fine? Has anyone else noticed this? The surprise is that P5 is still working if it's MKV, but all my MP4 P5 content (the vast majority of P5 content) is transcoding the container now and it's all unwatchable. There's no workaround for this; nothing can be done to make P5 content play correctly if an incompatible stream is fed to the TV I can't find any way to downgrade to the prev version... does anyone know any resolution, or are we SOL for another few months? -

I encountered this same issue recently. Thanks to this thread, I tried disabling extensions, and it turns out that the Kudos extension was causing it. Removed and it's no longer an issue. This is their site if it helps for looking into this: https://www.joinkudos.com/

A bit similar - I've noticed for a while now over several betas that sometimes if I'm in the dashboard in FIREFOX, leave for a different tab and return to that tab later the sidebar has gone and needs refreshing to get it to reappear. Nothing to do with Devices far as I can see. I haven't mentioned it as I thought it might be connected to css I'm using (which I'm to lazy to remove), or maybe temp use of an extrawide monitor.

I'm not doing much tonight maybe I will setup Pluto TV on my Emby see how it works, if I end up doing it I will post a video here, cheers

Searched the forums for any similar issues and couldn't find anything. I'm sure both the issues above would have been noticed. Closing this.

For the heck of it I added a few channels to see how fast it is and here are my results, not so bad imo, you may disagree Video.mp4

Thanks Uncle_Frank Not sure it's an issue if I can get around it.

Works fine for me
