Atrium — a native tvOS app for your Emby server
vdatanet replied to vdatanet's topic in Third Party Apps
Not the names — the type. Whatever you called them is fine; the app has never cared, and I have a test library here called "Pel·lícules rares 日本語 ñ ½" that goes through without complaint. What mattered was the kind of library you picked when you created it: the app had a fixed list of kinds it understood, and one it didn't recognise sank the whole list. So "Documentaries" and "Radio" are perfectly good names. If either of them was set up as something unusual — an audiobooks library, say — that would be the one. But you don't need to go and look: it's fixed either way, and knowing which one it was wouldn't change anything now. And you were right about the youngest one being significant. That sentence is what split it into two bugs instead of one. I'd have been looking for a single cause otherwise, and the sign-in half would still be sitting there. As for days versus minutes — the minutes were only possible because your first post described both symptoms accurately and told me which account got which. That's the part that's actually hard, and you'd already done it before I started. -

is my phone specs good for these conditions
Uncle_Frank replied to beans_jusfine's topic in Android Server
I ran an emby server on a galaxy s9 phone with 4gigs of ram before and it worked fine connected to a nas ugreen, you can also run samsung dex and use it as a mini pc. -
Is the 418play still a good server option? as we move further into the mkv file universe for UHD/4K, and being on an AppleTV will this thing still handle the transcoding nicely? I know there is no mkv support for atv. I ask because lately we have been having some intermittent issues with some files playing then going black every 5 minutes. ATV and 416play are hardwired, so I don’t believe it to be network related as another file will play just fine. I don’t have a log at the moment, but will grab one then next time it happens. also was following the Atrium chat, is that something that could help? Or if it’s still a potentially subpar server, won’t help anything?

I realize this post is marked as solved, but I just had to comment because it was such a coincidence to me. Off topic from the OP's post, but when I checked my Caddy reverse proxy logs this morning, I saw mostly 404s as expected...except for a couple of 200s from unknown ips on openapi.json and swagger.json files. Not sure what that means, but I disabled remote access while I investigate (sorry hubby! ). If I can't figure it out, I'll create a new post.

If it stutters on youtube you should return it and use any mini pc and pair a remote to it. I have a mini pc in the livingroom with a firestick remote paired to it for iso movies that are 80gig bluray I just add them to the mini pc hard drive by clicking download from my emby server and they play fine.

OK I suppose you could try deleting C:\Users\redwi\AppData\Roaming\Emby-Server\programdata\cache\images and see if that helps. I would restart the Roku app after doing that.

Well, I can't check right now un til I get a new heat pump. Been without AC for 3 weeks but finally tomorrow. Been up to 110 degrees outside. So, too hot in the closed theater room to check. Pretty sure it's just a dynamic mode. Once I find out, will tell you which node and what the custom menu item is. It is not a complete show (but could be if it's E01, it is a new episode mostly for an existing show.

From my iPhone via web. I also took those of my daughters account but these are from mine. Nonetheless same shows you can see they’re showing fine in the web display vs the Roku
-
Hi, can you show screenshots of the same screen in the web app? Thanks.
-
Right now only your built-in web app.
-
It's probably not getting loaded there. It is a legacy api at this point that is just a wrapper around other functions. what do you need to do with it?
-
Over the last few days I’ve noticed my posters (and some thumbnails on the continue playing) on my main page disappearing but only on my Roku TVs. iPhone, computer are fine no issues. I tried to reboot server, tv, computer etc then my category images (movies tv etc) disappeared as well. I’ve researched a little on past threads and stuff and it seems like I should maybe erase my cache folder on my computer. I just don’t want to go erasing things and rebuilding until I know it’s absolutely necessary. Attached is a few photos and my log. embyserver.txt
-
I was able to get it working with the api client. General question @Lukecan these pages be seen on the TV/android apps? Or only via the web page?

HawkXP71 started following New statistics plugin
-
I was having problems with DV Profile 5.0, and I wanted an easy way to find any media that was using this profile. Thus began my efforts in working with the statistics package. Mostly for my own benefit and knowledge, I started working on the plugin to clean it up a bit as well as speed it up. It started as a fork of the fork that represents the current state of the current statistics plugin Architecturally, the biggest change is it no longer uses the config file for all the data. Instead it uses a sqllite database. The biggest advantaged is the runtime. On my server, 5,312 movies and 17,232 episodes the 3 scheduled tasks for the current plugin takes 25 minutes. The new plugin about 3.5 minutes. There is also only 1 task that needs to get scheduled (it takes care of calling the subtasks, which can be run if you want updating) I also added the ability for non-admin users to see their "User Based Statistics" as well as "TV Progress" via a non-admin settings page. There is still more work to do, but I would love any and all feedback. I have not yet submitted the plugin, but people can play with it via github https://github.com/towel42-com/Statistics2026 Things I want to working - Convert to the PluginUI architecture Better table/list viewing Remove one of the caches

embyforkodi (next-gen) 12.X.X support
quickmic replied to quickmic's topic in Emby For Kodi Next Gen
Video playlists are (should be) synced but I assume the music playlist crash might be related why it's not. Can you please upload a kodi.log including the sync crash. -
Possibly but I'm not sure. That will require some evaluation.

Atrium — a native tvOS app for your Emby server
arrbee99 replied to vdatanet's topic in Third Party Apps
Thanks for the detailed info. If your list of words refers to a library I've named (not a category or type of library) then possible culprits might have been Documentaries or Radio... Thought the different error for the youngest was significant, but unlike you, I'd still be trying to fix things like that days, not minutes later... Thanks again for all your help. - Yesterday

Can you or I not respond with all that stuff for 404's?

Atrium — a native tvOS app for your Emby server
vdatanet replied to vdatanet's topic in Third Party Apps
Stop — put the router down. Nothing on your side is wrong, and my two questions were both barking up the wrong tree. Sorry about that. Point by point, so you're not left wondering: the proxy-headers setting, the one entry in the IP filter, automatic port mapping, the static IP, the Pi-hole — none of them have anything to do with this. You can leave every one of them exactly as it is. There was never anything between the app and your server; the problem was inside my app the whole time. Your answer did help, though. You're on .30, and that's the version I had on the bench — so what I reproduced is what you were hitting, not something adjacent to it. Here's what was actually happening. The app reads your server's replies against a fixed list of the words it expects to see. When a reply contained a word that wasn't on that list, it didn't ignore that one field — it threw the whole reply away. Neither of your errors was a rejection or a permissions problem. Both were the app failing to read a perfectly good answer. That's also why your other apps were fine on the same server: they don't hold it to a word list the way mine did. Your libraries. If a single library on that server is of a type that wasn't on my list — audiobooks, games, anything unusual — the entire library list got discarded, and out came "Couldn't load your libraries". It made no difference which account you used, which is exactly what you reported: "this happens with other users as well". One library the app didn't recognise, and nobody on that server could get past that screen. And the youngest one. Your own sentence is what found this. If a child account has parental controls set to block unrated games, the word "Game" comes back inside the sign-in reply — and that wasn't on my list either. So the reply was thrown away and the app announced that your server had rejected the sign-in. It hadn't. And it's only that one account because it's the only one with that box ticked. Both are fixed the same way: the app no longer holds your server to a fixed vocabulary. Where the server is telling it something — a type, a label, a setting — it takes the word as given, and one it doesn't recognise is just a word it doesn't recognise, not a reason to bin the answer. I reproduced both of your errors here before fixing them, and both are gone. If you're ever curious you can go and look at which of your libraries isn't a plain Movies/TV/Music/Collections one — that'll be the culprit. But there's nothing you need to do, and nothing to change. Thank you for going to that much trouble, both in the first report and just now. The whole diagnosis came out of your description — the bit about it only being the youngest account is the single line that found the second bug. -
Hi, we don't actually just put or patch, but the rest are needed.
