  2. Hi, yes more options to do this are certainly possible.
  3. Hi, not really. You can filter by unplayed, and you'll get series that have unplayed content, but there's no way to limit that to series that have at least one played episode. So I would suggest using that as a starting point.

Users have the ability to delete any file by default?

I don't think I would do that but if you are sure then maybe I did. I will for sure be checking now when I set up a new user.
  5. What do you think of my Emby server? How does it look to you? Does it feel like a much more premium experience compared to the stock Emby interface—you know, the basic, out-of-the-box look? I'd genuinely love to hear your thoughts! What stands out to you the most? What do you like best Keep in mind—the video above only shows a small fraction of the changes I've been able to make. All of it was done using custom JavaScript and CSS to push the interface far beyond what Emby offers by default. Let me know what you think! 2026-08-15 22-05-48.mp4

    Auto-Organize: Duplicate Series listing again

hi, unfortunately there isn't. The reason I was asking about previous discussion is because I would just be repeating the same responses if we were to go through it all again.

    Auto-Organize: Duplicate Series listing again

No no, sorry, I can see how you've reached that conclusion. I meant that this exact issue has been brought up before in other threads over the years. The most definitive thing I recall from those threads was you saying it shouldn't happen in the future (which given the series that showed in the list, is entirely plausible). I know the only tentative way is simply delete the whole database and reload from scratch. I was kind of hoping there may be some code mechanism to resolve this (I am a programmer myself, but I know this isn't open source...). In the meantime, I'll look into ways to preserve watch history in case I just have to delete the DB and reload from scratch. Question, would restoring an Emby Backup also restore the bad DB entries? Below are some URLs to the other threads discussing this exact issue: https://emby.media/community/topic/36602-duplicate-auto-organize-tv-series/ https://emby.media/community/topic/117445-auto-organize-how-can-i-remove-duplicated-items/ https://emby.media/community/topic/70774-auto-organize-issues/

    MessageCommand TimeoutMs

I think the default is 3300 right now. It's meant to be like a toast, so it shouldn't have more than a few words.

    Multiple sources under one icon

I just found the 'Merge the contents' option under the library settings. Will try that.

    My server is under attack

I have all the online functionality of my NAS's operating system disabled, so I'm not sure how it all works. Would the NAS firewall see anyone connecting to Emby? And regardless, how does it impact this specific situation?

    Multiple sources under one icon

Thanks for the response but that's what I did. I think I found the issue but do not know if there is a solution. I have my client set to Folder view. Because my collection is organize into categories. What i'm wondering is there a setting to not show the parent folders? Just the contents of the folder.
  18. HI, how are your files named and organized?
  19. Luke

    Multiple sources under one icon

HI, yes, instead of having two movie libraries, just have one and add both two folders to the one library.
  20. Hi, no they don’t. You must have granted then delete permission in their user setup.
  21. Hello DavidP5219, ** This is an auto reply ** Please wait for someone from staff support or our members to reply to you. It's recommended to provide more info, as it explain in this thread: Thank you. Emby Team
  22. By default when you set up a user they have the ability to delete anything in your server. This seems crazy to me that any user can just delete your files. I would think only the administrator should be able to do that. Any way you change this default setting for future versions? I only found this out today because one of my users mentioned he was able to do that and sure enough when i went in there all users have that ability by default. What does everyone else think?

    Aspect ratio default?

Hi, I don’t have an eta but it’s possible for the future. Thanks.
  24. Hi. Can you try searching for our standard android app (Just "Emby" on Amazon and "Emby for Android on Google) on the same device's app store and see how that compares? Thanks.

Why is Emby scan overriding settings?

Okay the mystery continues. It does seem that a lot of the incorrect or overridden metadata was from earlier imports, but it took several database vacuums and restarts before a new import didn't show that previous, incorrect information. However. There is still inexplicable inconsistency in import dates in some files. I did the Emby dance, removing entire directories out of the library, scanning, scanning again, restarting the server. So then none of those albums appeared in my music library. Great. Then I move those multiple directories back into the library directory and scan. But some metadata is incomprehensibly wrong again: some of the albums (all perfectly structured, each in their own directory, newly imported) show a December (!) import date; while another album/directory (within the same higher level directory!), shows an import date of June(!); and one other shows correct August import date. See images below. Where is Emby getting this incorrect, inconsistent metadata, and why?!
  26. I am sure this has been asked somewhere but I cant locate this issue. Hers the deal: Emby server setup and working perfect. Under Library's. i have two movie folders added: movies A and movies B. I want to know if there's a way to combine both folders into one. So on the client side someone clicking Movies only see all the contents instead of A and B. Thank You for any suggestions.
