Hi Ebr, I'm not sure on the number of subtitles. How you you tell if the subtitle tracks exceed 40.....was that in my send log? I've removed all automatic subtitles downloads but the issue still persists. I have sent logs from app. Please see below Exactly what you were doing and what happened. Include the name of whatever you played if it is a playback problem I was playing the file Last.Seen.2026.S01E01.1080p.HEVC.x265-MeGusta.mkv. It gave a continuing circle for a few seconds and eventually said "Too Many Errors" "Giving Up" The time you sent the log (in Eastern Time please - UTC -5) The time I sent log was approximately 13:45 Eastern Time The name of the Emby user on the local server that was logged in at the time The Emby user logged in at the time was Dermodys Many thanks

Hi, that's correct. There is no database storage for this information. We pass episode numbers on the image url of the series thumb, which could flow through to image enhancers, but that's going to result in individual image requests vs one, and would blow up the size of image caches on both clients and server.

EmbyCredits 2.9.0.0 has been released in the catalog. Changed: 1) Much better and precise chroma/hash detection and precision! It is now where i could call it almost on par with OCR detection and much faster. 2) When it encounters a series that uses different music between episodes it will instead fallback to using blackframe detection. This fallback has also had it's precision improved greatly. 3) OCR detection has had the way it communicates with the OCR engines changed slightly. It no longer just keeps sending frames for the engine to run detections on but patiently waits for it to be done with each frame. This makes sure that no frame is ever missed for detection. This also improves precision. Note: This can make OCR feel slightly slower on rare occasions but only because no frames were lost, talking about 100 frames per multible 1000's on a normal machine. 4) Changed a few things about the chroma/hash and blackframe detection that should improve performance slightly. Fixed: 1) Removed the plugins own episode comparison from chroma/hash detection as it messed with the detections. 2) Fix a bug that could in very rare occasions cause the settings page to stall and make it look like the plugin had crashed. 3) Fixed blackframe detection fallback not engaging when it should. 4) Other fixes and optimizations. Special thanks to @Neminemfor help with testing.

Could it work if we can set our own folder for it? We can fill it with trailers for movies and previews for shows of our own choosing, then let it play them in a 'shuffle' so it's randomised.

Following up on this feature request with an example of how I'd use it. I have a collection of all the Marvel MCU movies, as well as individual collections for groups within the MCU (Avengers Collection, Thor Collection, etc.). I've set my Movie library view to "Group Items into Collections" as it seems cleaner to me. If I want to find one of the Thor movies, it's obviously under "T", Avengers under "A".....but, if I want to watch "The Eternals (don't judge), a stand-alone, I have to remember it's in the MCU Collection. It would be great to have the option of showing that individual title with the "E"s, but also still including it with the large MCU collection.

I've been seeing the same behavior using the Edge browser. It started happening a few beta releases before stable was released. I didn't report it, as I thought it was a problem on my end and refreshing was an easy fix. But since it has now been reported, I thought I would chime in.

If it matters much, this has always worked for me. The dashes and spaces it turns out are crucial. Also a heads up, if you have any movie with the themoviedb puts a "colon :" the folder and file must have a "dash -" to replace the colon or you will experience the same issue as you have above. Yes I was getting infrequent stutter on the latest AndroidTV version so I sideloaded the last version that had smooth playback on. Don't let that distract you from this issue though. That "really old version of the TV app" is direct playing perfectly and the universal Android app is transcoding so don't knock it. Thanks for the log - please supply the full embyserver log file and not an extract from it Also please enable debug logging on the server - go server settings dashboard and select logs in the left side bar under Emby Server heading and then click on the Logs Settings tab and set "Enable debug logging" to Yes. That will help with tomorrow's recording and looking at the guide refresh requested below And please do a guide refresh - Server Settings Dashboard / Live TV / Click on Refresh Guide Data When it completes, go the Home screen, select Live TV and then select the Series tab and open up the Matt and Mollie Series recording page and get me the screenshots for the whole screen - i want to see how many epiosdes show and if the red indicator for to-be-recorded is showing - screenshots equivalent to this from my server and then send me the embyserver.txt log file after this - this should have debug logging now and show if timers are set for th airings

No client app triggers transcoding for no reason - it might be erroneous due to the number of factors, but there'll always be the underlying logic/selection process. As per your screenshot, app likely reports AVC Max. video level as 5.1, but ffmpeg log written would show exactly what's occurring. How to report a media playback issue
