Sorry @Lukebut It's something you can easily reproduce with an apple tv device, happens in both 64K and 32K. I'm not using your client anymore since 2024, I'm now using Infuse as player that does not present these defects, remembers playback speed and has a few other improvements. It's sad that a third party application works better and faster than your own client with your server.

ThePags started following Listing of Seasons ascending/descending
-
If you have a library that is of mixed content and has a root folder with multiple folders, the latest addition is shown on the right hand side as if a new season, could there be an option added to allow season/folder listing to be ascending/descending. Therefore any new content added could be seen on the left hand side and not potentially hidden on the right hand side if there is a long folder list.

Hi there, please attach the Emby server log from when the problem occurred: How to Report a Problem Thanks!
-
I tried the above and it didn't work. I ended up just nuking the server, uninstalling everything and starting over and it's back to working, so not sure what the issue ended up being, but glad I'm back up and running. Appreciate the replies though!

Not sure if the last app on IOS version is broken
Luke replied to LoLoEmby's topic in Apple iOS / macOS
Hi, have you tried Emby for iOS 2.2..55? -
Hi, how have you configured the startup behavior option in the app?
-
No I think it will just produce the same result. It's worth trying. If the remuxed version plays then most likely there's something wrong with the headers in the original file. If you test this then make sure to run a library scan after updating the file. In other words, don't just update the file and then try to play because the server will be doing that based on outdated media information.
-
Hi, the server log says it is getting a 500 error from the dispatcher server, so I would start by figuring out why that is happening and get that resolved, then re-evaluate.
-
I updated Moonbase and Moonfin to the dot 1's - shut down, move files over, restart. I get a permanently spinning circle on the plugin in Emby. In the Moonfin app in widows I just get the rows My Media, Continue Watching & Next Up, Live TV, On Now and Rewatch. No Latest rows anywhere.
-
I think I am over thinking this. I got some issues with that. I just added uid emby and guid mylogonuser to fstab and am adding folder to emby now. It sees ot be populating the server just fine on the server machine itself..I have not yet tried o access it remotely thats another step.

Did anything come from this. I still think this is a great ideal. -
Why is Jellyfin so much more popular than Emby?

Boniface himself also wrote a blog entry about his departure. I found the content quite revealing. -
In TV layouts we do it on the left because usually coming into a library the left most tab will be selected and therefore it's fewer remote taps to get to the letters.

is this github link broken? On a different note, I thought chronological meant ordered by date of the events that took place. When I see MCU Chronological, it appears they are just ordered by film release date. BTW this is really cool though, so thank you!

For a kids profile i'm loving the 'Suggestions' tab (Movies → Suggestions). Is there a possibility to have such an option for the homescreen?

Slow startup screen only on local network connection
jinxed replied to jinxed's topic in Android TV / Fire TV
Bit late but i figured it out. On my AndroidTv i had the 'old' AndroidTv app installed that probably didn't had updates in a long time.. After installing emby for android the login is just as fast now. -
I read that. Well- I am a noobr, hence the name. So, if I add this I assume that will allow my home user (home = hm:x:1001:1001::/home/hm:/usr/bin/bash) to connect to and playback media? How can I add a 2nd user? Or is that what the article is talking about when it says 1 set of permission for the whole drive? Just one user? I have 4 users that will need to access the SMB share from Windows clients and they will also need to be able to use Emby clients. This is doable? I want them to access the SMB share itself when I am done. Read access only.

@graytincthe 4k problem should now be fixed, if not send a message Emby.FastIptv.dll
-
I don't own an Apple TV, but why will the letters be on the left when in all other apps they are on the right? Also provided the Apple app also has the 'side menu', chances are very high to open that menu instead of just navigating to the letters.

[Beta] ROMote – play your retro game collection in the browser (NES → PlayStation)
digitalirony replied to digitalirony's topic in Plugins
Update for anyone hitting the internal-vs-external issue: fixed and improved in 1.0.0.32. Two things were going on. First, a straight bug: the "Play Game" link was being forced to your Emby External Domain even though the setting said leaving it blank gives a relative link. So it worked from outside but not on the LAN, where that domain doesn't resolve. Second, the bigger point that a lot of servers have both browser users and native-app users, and those genuinely need different kinds of links (a browser wants a relative link that follows the current address; a native app opens your device browser and needs a full absolute address). Rather than pick one and break the other, each game now shows up to two launch links: - "Play Game": a relative link. Works in any browser, on your local network or remotely. Use this in the Emby web app. This is what fixes the LAN problem. - "Play Game (app)": an absolute link, for the native Emby apps (Android/iOS/TV). It appears automatically whenever an external address is available (your Emby External Domain, or an optional Public URL field in ROMote settings). If you only use a browser, you'll just use the first link, and on a simple setup with no external domain that's the only link shown. If you have app users too, they get the second one. Setting the external address adds the app link without changing the browser link, so neither breaks the other. To update: grab 1.0.0.32 (attached), stop Emby, replace ROMote.dll, start it. Browser play should work inside and outside with no settings changes. The app link shows up on newly scanned games; if you have a large existing library and want it on those right away, run a metadata refresh on the Games library. Thanks for the detailed report. It turned into a better fix than the original bug. ROMote.dll -
I removed it trying to troubleshoot why it is failing. I added back and it sees a backup in settings, but it will not run a back up in scheduled tasks.. it says "failed" if you can tell me what logs will help you help me determine,, it would be greatly appreciated.. There is a conflict somewhere and we cannot find it.

Hi, can you please provide the contents of the browser debug console? Thanks.
-
Is it primarily multi-word searches that is the issue?
-
@Noobrplease let us know if this helps. Thanks !
